@TheDarkWayne

I too shall wait. Planetside is still to date the only MMO I have played beyond the first X months free.

Is this game still worth trying? Not asking if it's a bad game, more like if i start it would I be lost in the sauce like if I started playing Final Fantasy 11 because I started too late?

@remeran I wouldn't worry about that. Planetside has very flat level progression, which is a fancy way of saying that, because it's skill based, even when you have fewer combat options (stuff you get access to) at a low level, you can still be highly effective.

Heh, we sure come out of the woodwork for mentions of this game, don't we? I have a stable of old friends that are dying for its release so we can all get together in the only game that appealed to the whole lot of us.

I'm patient, too.

I never played the original PlanetSide, but from what I hear it was pretty damn good.. I hope they can put the kind of effort into the sequel that this kind of delay would imply.

Besides, any MMO in which you can play as a pilot and strafe dudes below deserves at least a little consideration.

I really regret not having played the first. A persistent world shooter with vehicular combat!

Count me in for the next round.

I liked Planetside, don't get me wrong. And yes I'm excited for the relaunch or what ever they're doing but I'm disapointed. I honestly would have rather seen The Agency. It's a much more original setting, the spy motif is not nearly as played out as space armies or magic beasts. I wish them luck, I look forward to the game, but it's too bad SOE couldn't realise a product with The Agency.
