The series is made in Japan. That's all we need to really discuss.

@CaptainProtonX they don't connect very well, but they do connect. If you can't comprehend that then you are at fault. Don't blame the game for your lack of comprehensio.

@CaptainProtonX - Just understand that it was called BIOHAZARD originally in the Original Country [>JAPANHumans infected
>Turn into STILL ALIVE and quite LIVING human eating creatures
>Morph into a FINAL stage of Dark Crimson colored monsters
+
The ORIGINAL Resident Evil showed you the stages if you've ever played it. It continued thru to 3 and a little of ~Code Veronica and STOPPED when it changed in 4 to another form of virus.
There has NEVER BEEN a single UN-living person in the ENTIRE SERIES.. NO Zombies here~~~~~~~
~~~~~NONE
First Stage:
>Person Infected by Virus But DOESN'T DIE
>Craving for Human Flesh begins
>Includes Animals too for the surprisingly tasty man flesh
>Turns into Dark Crimson skinned monsters
>Never pasts that point in the games so.. who knows~
They do connect. It's after RE3 that all these side plot games came into play (Veronica, RE4).
Still one of my favorite horror game series. Even if it is campy and cheesy, it's got great action. Hell, even the awkward style of the first few games with the strange controls and fixed camera angles have their charm.
Oh and shooting zombies never gets old.
If they released a RE box set for current gen consoles that contained every Resident Evil from 0-5 plus all the 'side' games, I think I would literally die from happiness.
i second that notion. is there really anything that's actually good (besides the graphics) about the 5th RE? it doesn't even provide a good co-op experience, and that "boss" battle with jill is one of the worst things i've ever had to play in a videogame ever.
It basically took everything that was good about RE4 and got rid of it, then gave us loads of rubbish new things.
Also worth noting they kept the things that were bad about RE4 too.. lol
All they had to do was copy Dead Space's controls and I would have looked past the mistakes.
Well I actually loved playing RE5. The co-op was the best part of the game, and it's not Capcoms fault you don't have any friends.
Hell got 100% on all 3 versions of it.
Probably my most played game this gen
actually, why would i even comment on co-op if i didn't play through it with a buddy? unfortunately, i think it's co-op that really just ruined the whole resident evil experience for me. not only did it dispel any sense of dread that i might have had if there weren't someone constantly tagging along, but it also just kinda sucked as a co-op experience.
Co-op did radically change the RE experience, but I still enjoyed playing through 5 with my teenager. Quite frankly, I'll take a game that's a blast to play with my kid over a single player game.
I second THAT. I've played a few of co-op dedicated games (namely, both Army of Two) and some not as much dedicated in co-op (Halo 3 campaign, both Gears of War and some others that I don't even remember - LOVE Reach Firefight). RE5 was, by far, THE BEST co-op experience I've ever had. Even though I'm an "ancient" gamer (as in 8-bit generation ancient), I never got too much into the RE series 'till RE4, RE5 expanded and improved upon that, throwing in a good, balanced and cohesive co-op for good measure. To be fair, I've tried to play its single player and found it to be unbearable, but then again, why would I when co-op is such an well-tailored experience?
Probably not, like Richard said, it's more likely in order to get by the 2GB limit of XBLA titles. I believe they are releasing them both in one package called Resident Evil: Revival Selection so it could be 20 - 30 bucks for both.
Ha ha ha ha, yeah. Which is funny because I thought the Games On Demand thing only applied to games that were retail releases for Xbox 1 or 360...
...and neither RE4 nor CV were ever on the original Xbox. Seriously, Capcom, just make them 1200 MS points and you'll still make a profit.
I just started playing resident evil 4 on the Wii a few days ago. Its the first resi game Ive played other than a few mins on the ds game (long enough to hear "you, the master of unlocking"). Really enjoying it so far, though the graphics are veeery dated now.
That's because RE4 was built on the Gamecube a last generation Console..
The Wii is nothing but a Slimmer Gamecube with Fancy Motion Controls..
If you check the screenshots for the latest RE4 HD you'll notice that it's alot more pleasing to the eye..
