iOS Capcom Arcade app updates with free Final Fight, 1943

The free-to-play iOS Capcom Arcade app continues to improve in value. A new update adds two games to the virtual selection of classics: Final Fight and 1943. The app has also been given an attendant title change: "Capcom Arcade" is now "Final Fight@Capcom Arcade." In addition, the controls for the two Street Fighter games in the app have been tweaked.

The app offers three "free play" tokens each day, for use on the two new games or the existing lineup of 1942, Commando, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Street Fighter II and Street Fighter II Champion Edition. You can "buy" each "arcade machine" permanently for 99 cents.

Last I checked, each machine was like 2.99 or something.. If they're .99 now, it'd be very worth it to snag 'em all..

@(Unverified) $2.99 for something that was once only playable in an arcade for 25cents each play...and now you can have it in your pocket and play it as much as you want. seems like a no-brainer to me.

@Roncore Play it as much as you want with crappy controls. Yeah, sounds like a brilliant idea.....

Still can't wrap my head around on certain games being played on touchscreen. Some puzzle games yes, but Final Fight and Street Fighter to name a few is just ridiculous.

Have you tried them? SF2 and 4 are really quite playable. So is Mortal Kombat 3.

There are lots of games I'd never ever want to play on my iPhone 5, iPad 2 or iPod 4. But these games work. Surprisingly.

@jocaju It works quite well and believe it or not, there's lots of games that work better on an ipad or iphone than they do on a console because of being limited to buttons.

remember mircosoft game room? i dont get stuff like this, why add an extra layer of nonsense between me and my game? yes i get the social aspect but i'd much rather just have the game i can start up without wasting 30 seconds of my life moving through menus to get there.
