You've shot a man in every place, but you've run out of locations in which to shoot him. Fortunately, there's no greater marriage of domains and bullet-riddled defeat than in Killzone 3, which is set to receive a downloadable map pack after tomorrow's European PSN update. North American PSN users can expect it on Tuesday, April 12.
The "Steel Rain" DLC contains "Junkyard," a Guerrilla Warfare map that'll amass even more detritus from demolished jetpacks and toppled exoskeletons, and "Stahl Arms," a Warzone map set in a Helghan weapons manufacturing plant. Between the two battlefields, you're getting a basic glimpse at the dooming, doomed life of a gun.
The two-pack will be free to PlayStation Plus subscribers during the first month of availability, and will otherwise cost €4,99 ($4.99 on the US store).

Great. Just when I felt like KZ3 is getting boring. Hopefully this is going to make me enjoy it longer.

I wish they fixed the issue with map rotation so I don't have to play Salomon Market 20 times in a row. I bet it is going to do the same thing with the new maps. But I still love the game.

I agree. I actually love Salmun Market, it's my favourite map. But I don't want to have to play it over and over again.

Can't wait! I hope they start integrating the DLC maps into regular map rotation though.

Why not release the pack simultaneously, or would that make to much sense? Well I can wait a week. Hopefully US PS+ members got the free map pack hook up also.

@BigEgo007 I can't wait until EVERYthing gets global licensing deals and Q & A as well as whatever other departments get in line and we can have simultaneous releases of all games on the same day.....at least for digital releases

it'll get me back into it...at least for a while...but Killzone 3 just seems like a watered down version of KZ2 to me...and they show no signs of bring back the good of KZ2

I'm still into it enough to keep playing, but I've only put in 7 hours into multiplayer so I'm not exactly a power gamer in that respect. Another half dozen hours and I'll likely be sort of sick of it.

@Chris DPSN AggieCEO XBLThe Aggi I partially agree with you, but I still think KZ3 is really good. To be more specific, KZ2 had better SP while KZ3 has better MP. That's what I think.

$2.50 a map, not too bad at all

$5 is alright for this. Would I like more maps for that money? Sure. Is $2.50 appropriate for one Guerrilla Warfare map and $2.50 appropriate for one Warzone map? Sure.
Definitely picking it up. I love the game and I'm all about supporting Guerrilla Games. Keep the maps coming, guys.
And deals like this are pushing me ever closer to a PlayStation Plus subscription...

I was going to say something snarky about how the Killzone 2 DLC maps were barren as all hell and I regretted buying them... but then I saw tht the pack is a freebie for PS+ users for a month.
I no longer have any right or reason to complain :)
