This week's GOG addition is fairly easy to convey, provided you're addressing a crowd of people who love goodish, old-ish PC games. Realms of the Haunting, developed by Gremlin Interactive (which eventually became part of Infogrames), combines nearly every endearing and sometimes ill-advised artifact of many story-driven adventure games from the '90s.
It has oddly paced and compressed-to-death FMV sequences, a clunky inventory system, some awkward first-person exploration and shooting, and at least one decapitated rat. If nostalgia and a desire for a paranormal mystery are looking for a spooky rendezvous, they might find one in Realms of the Haunting for $5.99.
GOG's also looking to add something a bit more modern -- the PC version of Arc System Works fighter Guilty Gear X2 #Reload is coming to the service "soon."

Guilty Gear X2 #Reload? That's an odd pick for the service. Then again, so is the good "old" game The Witcher 2 (yes, I know CD Projekt owns both).
They should put Gremlin Interactive's "Normality" on the service. Reviews be damned, I thought that game was awesome.

I just bought a new joystick this weekend because I saw that they had Freespace 1 & 2. One of my favorite space fighter game series. Now if I could only see the X-wing, Tie Fighter, X-wing Vs Tie Fighter, and Wing Commander series back on some sort of gaming service I'd be in heaven.

I still have my boxed copies of Freespace 2 and Tie Fighter, and let me tell you: Freespace 2 really holds up. I mean, it holds up extremely well. Tie Fighter not so much. X-Wing Alliance might fare better, but I have my doubts.

OMG yes! I've been waiting for this ever since GOG launched, I created a account with them in the first week mostly just to request this game. I kept considering picking it up from amazon but the combination of it using 4 discs while my laptop doesn't even have a disc drive and not being sure if it would run on a modern OS stopped me.
I played the hell out of the demo back when it was new, can't wait to jump into it again!
