Another music video whipped up with DSi's Flipnote Studio

Last year, Billy Polard created a kind-of-a-bummer music video using Flipnote Studio for his song, "Losing Light." Polard recently returned to the DSi drawing board, and created yet another melancholy video for another of his tunes, "when our bedrooms were once haunted." Check it out below!

I dig that he animated it all on a DSi, but why do people think it's OK to have 5 minutes of the same riff and call it a song?

@Lukeyo Of course everyone has different tastes in music, but yeah, I do call a 4 measure riff that repeats for 5 minutes a song. The song produces a strong emotional atmosphere for me. If it doesn't move you much, that's ok, it's just not for you.

All music is a collection of repetitive patterns. This is not "complex" music that switches the patterns (melodies/chords/meters) frequently or innovatively, but it does fit the label. As mentioned above, it does what it needs to achieve its desired emotional effect.

repetition is a useful tool in music that's used by some of the most critically acclaimed bands around now. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiGI_UsWcWs)
someone less skilled in songwriting might think they have to have a million changes in a song to keep it interesting. a song can be just as or even more effective with one main theme that repeats over and over

The DSi animations were neat, but the song was five minutes of the same riff. Not exactly mind blowing.

I love his album. It sounds a lot like early Modest Mouse and has a wintry feel to it.

I can't say I hate the song, but you'd think that with all the mad tallent he has to have to make that music video, he'd be able to come up with a better song. :P

Not impressed. I've seen better use of the Flipnote Studio applications.
