First issue of the Portal 2 comic is now online

Just as you were warned, "tomorrow" has come, heralding the arrival of Portal 2: Lab Rat. The first issue has been posted over on IGN, spanning 14 total pages.

The comic is more than a prequel than anything else. Actually, we don't want to give away too much, but we will leave you with this little nugget: Companion Cube kills Dumbledore. We know, we know -- who woulda thunk a cube could wield a wand, let alone gain admission into Hogwarts?!

@AltairtheAssassinwhokillstuff Indeed. I honestly didn't expect I'd enjoy it much but that was actually pretty interesting.
* SPOILERS BELOW *

I take it the "hobo" is Doug, one of the scientists from the (blue) flashbacks. My guess is that at some point, after giving GLaDOs conscience, they gave her the ability, or more likely she learned, to lie and instead of trying to kill them a 10th of a picosecond after turning on, she took her sweet time going about it. :)

@AltairtheAssassinwhokillstuff. The artist seems to be a fan of bill sienkc,,,(ah, hell I can't spell let alone pronounce his name...)

The hobo is the guy from the original game who drew all the messages on the walls.

He was going to be a character in the original game, then they scrapped him and kept him as a background character.

They will probably link him with the scientists, but originally he was just a test subject.

Magical Companion Cube must have been a Slytherin.

Stupid Valve Potato ARG making me think that typo was intentional...

Okay, that certainly was a trip.

Well, that was... artistic.

So we finally see the face of the guy who wrote "the cake is a lie," huh? He actually looks almost exactly as I imagined.

Ugh, I hate IGN. Is there somewhere else I can read it?

That was... really fascinating. I wasn't expecting something like that. So all the events in Portal are imaginary, conjured up by an insane engineer at Aperture Science?

Portal comic by Michael Avon Oeming!? Yes Please!

Why did it have to be IGN? Took 5 clicks before getting to an actual useable gallery instead of clicking each image individually, then some of the pages were out of order.
