@sticks

It's Gran Turismo. I'm pretty that alone is the opposite of underrated.

@GewurztraminerX I think he's talking about poor reviews like the one done by joystiq, that expected the game to be the second coming of Christ, even tho we knew the short coming of the game way before it came out.

You can't really blame Joystiq for being so hard on Gran Turismo. A game that took almost 5 years to release, and with its pedigree should have knocked the socks off of everyone. I know many of you think Forza is a piece of crap, but reality says that is a quality racer that can compete with Turismo and now has had a consistent bi-annual release without hiccups. I don't know went on at Polyphony Digital these past few years, but their long development time certainly didn't correlate with their finished product.

Didn't they say they were going to re-release the standard cars as premium?

Anyway, more tracks = more fun!

@Mr Hett
Yes, They did.
There are so many standard cars that i prefer over the premium cars.

Honestly, I'm amazed that they were missing to begin with. They seemed like staples.

@zedex

No kidding, it's a glaring oversight. While we're talking classic track, how about Imola, both pre and post Senna.

It could also be tracks that were originally intended to be in the game but were cut after they already made up the logos for them. Besides, they already had them in a folder and everything and forgot to remove them.

Just saying, could be that too. I hope not and they release the tracks as DLC. El Capitan was awesome.

This is the kind of thing I'll pay money for. With the way GT5 is structured, there's literally thousands of things you can do per track simply because of the number of cars in the game.

@Credge thats what im always getting on about. it really is one of the most variable and complex games ive played, just in the way it controls. i would pay for new tracks, and maybe new cars. and i would absolutely love a customizable painting option where i could add my own racing stripes.

If anyone knows the answer to this question please reply.

For those who purchase the downloadable Prologue version of Gran Turismo 5, do those people get any extras or bonuses when they purchase Gran Turismo 5?

@WillPG1212 - What!? NOTHING! Not even the cars? lol.

So we paid the price of full game just to play what is essentially an incomplete version of Gran Turismo 5, what a rip off! We don't even get to keep the cars!

well now I know, thanks for that.

@R2D2586 - This is a joke, I can't believe they didn't through any extra, a discount or 'something' in there, like a, "thanks for paying for Gran Turismo 5 TWICE!", arh and I bet they're laughing it all the way to the bank!

I'm gonna faint. Thanks!

While I welcome the return of older tracks, I'd be happier if they fixed the fuzzy shadows and the constant screen tearing.

I'd personally love to see Road Atlanta added as a playable track, or if PD could make their own fujimi kaido for GT5. Both are fantastic tracks.

Ahh...some classics in there that I've been sorely missing from GT5. Need 1/4 drag strip too. I used it a lot in GT4 to tune my gear ratios and acceleration.

SEATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to have this one back, it's a staple and a travesty it isn't shipped with GT5.
