You under estimate the hold FPS games have on the general public (for good or for worse), my friend.

But, don't worry. THQ's investors are in the same boat.

Yeah, it was bad. I worked(@ GS, don't hate me) the day of release and day after and people were disappointed/pissed. I felt sorry for them but there was nothing I could do. I love gaming but working in gaming when stuff like that happens, freakin sux!

At least the White legendary doesn't have inappropriately placed tufts of fur/feathers.

I started playing it and i never even got passed like 10% of the game. I hadn't really played a Pokemon game since Silver and Gold and basically its the same sh!t with a few new changes... catching pokemon gets repetitive and so do the battles, but its not because of the gameplay or the game, its because i'm old. This game has got to be one of the most repetitive games i have played in a while, again, not because of the game, because i'm afraid i have outgrown pokemon's charm. how sad.

@PR0F3TA once you beat the elite 4 and storyline of pokemon games is when they start to get interesting imo. they are still the deepest rpgs on the planet if you are a stat moneky like myself.

and when a beautiful real shiny pokes out his lovely head and gets in your ball...I love that feeling even if its stupid.

You were downvoted because most of us don't agree with your assessments.

Age has nothing to do with liking or not liking this game. I'm 25 and I loved it for the strategy & stat building. Sure, Pokemon may seem like a "kids' game" on the surface, but after you pass Route 4 that ceases to be true. EV training, breeding for moves/natures, role definition, team coverage, etc. make the Pokemon games some of the more complex outings on the market.

Every game seems repetitive if your don't look deep enough. "Man, I'm so tired of Halo/Portal/Space Invaders. All you ever do is just push buttons."

The 3DS was on sale for four days. The fact that it came as close as it did is impressive.

its ironic cause nintendo intended for the 3DS to be the DS's successor, but the successor couldnt out preform what its meant to replace.

... of course, i forgot it was only out for a bit before this report...

Well, the DS launched on the 21st of the month, while the 3DS launched on the 27th, and the DS launched during the holiday season with a Mario title, so I think the 100,000 unit difference can be explained quite easily and isn't a sign of a poor launch.

The exclusive Pokemon of White and its box art legendary are what made me decide to choose it over Black. Truly, it wasn't even a hard decision. Seems I made a good call.

Hum for a game with such bad reviews Homefront sure sell well enough in a recessionary environment for games... beat dragon age and critically acclaimed Crysis 2 guess x360 really is all about MP, good for them :)

guess the "here is your game and we will sell you 4 more hours content in a couple of months" model is alive and well. THQs strategy appears to be starting to work... I wonder how much their shares will fall? Also wonder if they expected more than 2M sales for game in all platforms?

@Rhamsey you can see how many of each version is registered into pokemon-gl.com ... but looking at the pie chart, it's damn near even.

I got white for the box art, I toyed with the idea of getting the bundle.. had I gone there, I'd have black.
