Stuff like this is exactly what games need: community driven content. It's a win-win for everyone. The dev doesn't have to do a thing more and their game will have immense replayability. It's beyond the scope of a map editor, as many will point to, because you can tailor interaction wih NPCs and the environment and not just the map.

Amazing stuff.

@MGTrey It might not be to everyone's taste, but there is no good reason to dislike this user made content feature.
People can ignore it, or use it to become of a lot bigger community.
Great stuff!

@MGTrey

you say the dev doesn't have to do a things as if making a mission designer is not a immensely harder than designing a few extra levels.

@eat it: You make the mission designer, the community gets an exponential increase in replayability and you get a nigh limitless supply of free content made for your game for fans to enjoy. On no extra effort on the dev's part. See: Halo's Forge mode, PC games' mod scene, the LPB series.

I have the beta and it's awesome. One thing I really hope they can add (unless it's already planned) is the ability to do voice overs. Since obviously people who make levels cannot magically use Cole's voice or any other character for that matter, the dialogue is all text, which is off-putting (albeit necessary and obviously not the devs fault). HOWEVER, a compromise could be to allow players to voice over the characters themselves. If the VO's suck, players can disable voice overs (and in all cases text would still be required in case players disabled VO's). Top-notch VO's could be rated up on the community, and players could have filters where only the missions that have high VO ratings automaitcally play the voice overs, streamlining the whole thing. Just a thought! Regardless, this game is going to be awesome, strong GOTY contender for sure.

If they can't allow complete voice-overs, it'd be cool if there could be some pre-made voice options like, "Go to ____." or "Help! I'm being attacked by _____!" They couldn't create that for every phrase imaginable, but it may help a little bit.
