the whole wii motion plus thing kinda pisses me off in hindsight, glad i only got the one that came with resort and didn't upgrade all 4 of my wiimotes. i mean the only announced game that will take advantage of it in the future is zelda (i think) and they're going to have to bundle it with that game anyways in order to sell any copies.

Learnt my lesson from the wiifit, I will buy M+ AFTER the games I want to play have been released. Hey wiifit? how's life under that sofa? I took all your batteries for the controllers I use... you took 100 of my dollars.

That was, by far, the most fun game of the bunch. Especially after I made the cast of Kill Bill into Miis.

Still, all day seems maybe a little hyperbolic.

I thought Sports Resort was actually pretty damn fun. I still play it today as the 3-point competition is a party favourite. Motion plus is impressive, it's just a shame that no one took advantage of it.

Also loving it. We just started doing the pictured wave race like event though we've owned the game since release. There is so much content. My favorite, and by far most played, is Disc golf. I'm also a big fan of the Cycling (which no-one else I've talked to enjoyed).
Dang, dang good game. Many, many hours of fun.

c'mon Nintendo. This should be $9.99 by now. At least a $20 price tag.

Everyone has already said it, but Nintendo seriously needs to drop the price in their games. It makes sense to do it now considering that the price of the Wii has come down so much (or is about to). People that held off could potentially be a lot more swayed to pick up the console with a couple of games if their weren't still 50 bucks each. Get with it, Ninty.

Um, get with the times? It's no secret that the Wii has sold incredibly well, but they've reached a saturation point and sales have slipped. A price cut in the console is one thing, but it's the actual software that will help sell it. Lots of people that don't have a Wii, after waiting all this time, aren't going to buy one now even if it costs 100 bucks because each game they might have wanted to play is still 50 bucks.

Both MS and Sony discount older games and actually celebrate and advertise when their more successful games are available at a cheaper price. Nintendo used to, but decided not to for some reason. They need to drop the price of their excellent, first party software, because that's the only thing that people who don't have a Wii would want to play, and it's most likely the only thing stopping them from buying a cheap Wii. Good enough for ya?

"...in the US since 2009"

i'm sorry, did Nintendo really think it's giving the world a gift by reducing the price of a 2 year old game (a NOT too popular game) by $10?

Thank you, KING MIDAS!

My local Gamestop still lists Super Mario Galaxy for fifty dollars, new.

That shit came out in 2007.

10.7 million units is 'not too popular'?

Wow, I wish I was that unpopular...

I think Nintendo are trying hard to avoid the situation that exists in other game systems where people quite often say 'oh I'll wait two months and get that when the price drops' - because if it's a successful Nintendo game chances are pretty slim that you'll get a price drop after two YEARS, so you may as well buy it when it's new. Here's some exceptions.

On the plus side, at least their games are priced slightly less at launch (at the moment... I suppose that will end with Wii 2).

@xxxsam

So what you're saying is that Nintendo is actually penalising people who maybe can't afford to purchase a new game at 'new game' prices and would much prefer to wait for a price drop, by keeping the price close to the original price 2+ years after that game is being released. You do realise that there is almost no other software developer/publisher that subscribes to this belief, right? Keep it up Nintendo, it's greedy business practices like this that consumers really love.
