@Mr Hett

I hope its more like Driver than it is like any of the sequels. Driver '76/Parallel Lines was decent, but I'm hoping for a lot more than "decent" at this point.

I can't wait to play Child of Eden. I guess Ubi will date those in NA during E3 week.

Haha, "James Noir's Hollywood Crimes." I was SO convinced on the last podcast that Justin HAD to have made that up. How naive of me...

Nice- I hope the PS3 version is decent enough that I can save the kinect buy-in price

@Drew327
The 360 version works without the Kinect. I'd assume the two versions are identical, aside from Kinect support on the 360 version.

@Drew327 leaddevelopment was on the 360 so who knows. I wouldnt buy Eden on the ps3 just like I wouldnt buy Portal 2 on the 360. For each, the game is simply a bastard port they dont really care for except extra sales.

I really liked Rez, but I'm hesitant to pick up Child of Eden for full price. Especially with a bunch of other games I want coming out at the same time.

@CaramelZappa I bought Rez for full price on the playstaion two and it was worth every penny and then some. Child of Eden is going to be worth $1000.

@CaramelZappa

I was a lot more excited for Child of Eden before a friend showed me some footage of it. Then, I read a bit about it.

It really appears to be a more "upbeat" re-imagining of Rez. I loved Rez, but mostly for its darkness, uniqueness and musical offerings.

Child of Eden doesn't appear to have a soundtrack from various artists, does appear to have the same plot, and is all kinds of colorful and smiley.

Hopefully, I'm wrong.

So does Child of Eden support move?

@mmmfishtacos it is going to be a lesser version. game informer back in sept.
"
Back at E3, Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s latest project, Child of Eden, was shown for the first time and quickly became a game to watch for on Kinect. However, even though the game is also due out on PS3, Move support was notably absent. We caught up with Q Entertainment’s product manager Lindsay Gray at TGS who explains Child of Eden’s current lack of Move compatibility.

“Child of Eden development started on 360,” he says, “so while there are possibilities for Move, we want to get motion down on the 360 first before moving on to other technology.”

Gray admits the controls for Child of Eden on 360 using Kinect still needs some fine tuning, and is something the team plans to address long before the game releases in March."

@Jack Kevorkian Sounds like a load of bull to me. They would be stupid not to include it, it only takes a few weeks to get it running with a small crew. I guess I'll just wait to see when/if they include it.

@mmmfishtacos Q Entertainment is a very small outfit that makes small, niche games. It wasn't and shouldnt be a priority of theirs. If you read interviews, which I do voraciously on anything Rez related, he was attracted to the Kinect because he thought it was really cool. He doesnt care about Move as much and thats his decision.

exclusives arent a bad thing always. why have a Move product he doesnt philisophically support?

@Jack Kevorkian

Both Move + 3D support are confirmed by Ubisoft for the PS3 version. The Xbox 360 version does not support 3D.

While Mizuguchi is fond of the technology, Kinect support is being promoted heavily as Microsoft Games Studios has chipped in a large funding apportionment, which also covers a 4-6 week period of timed-exclusivity in the North America territory.
