The Ivor Novello awards are back. Named for the Welsh composer, the British awards honor the best scores and original soundtracks for movies, television and video games. This year's nominations have been published -- but, as with last year, at least one-third of the composers nominated must be British or Irish, which might knock a lot of your favorite soundtracks out of contention.
Still, congrats to Ninja Theory, Bizarre Creations and The Creative Assembly, whose Enslaved, James Bond 007: Blood Stone and Napoleon: Total War, respectively, have each been nominated for Best Original Video Game Score. The winners will be presented on May 19, so stay tuned then to see who walks away with the Ivor.

@antaydos Enslaved is fantastic, the ONLY game I ever rented and beat that I still ended up buying.

C'mon Enslaved. Great game, with an even greater score.

Makes me hyped to listen to Enslaved's soundtrack. It's nearing the top of my backlog, like 3 games infront of it.
Although, this sucks because now I'm going in with high expectations. I hate going in to games with high expectations.
Dragon Age 2 hurt me real bad there.

My vote would be for Enslaved. Anything with Nitin Sawhney's involvement is always something to behold. And such a great game too. A real gem from last year.

I love JRPGs and Ar Tonelico Qoga was one of the worst games I've ever played. I wanted to like it, because I love games like that. Star Ocean, Tales of... Loved Atelier Rorona. But the whole game just sucked. Soundtrack included.
Although, that may be coming from the fact that the battle system/story/characters was/were so horrible that I just didn't give the soundtrack a chance. It may be amazing. Must have a listen.

@Apsac D well different strokes for different folks. for me AR qoga is the best J-RPG this generation. i already laid down 50+ hours in to it and will be back for more. Star ocean 4 was ok but i just could not get passed main character, he is horrible.

Actually, I thought Enslaved's score was very average, even dull. ó___ò Go figure.

Bloodstone is seriously underrated. great game.
everyone is always saying how they want a new bond game as good as goldeneye. well, one came out that is better than it, and no one bought it.
