I think the simple answer is because the game is for both systems regardless of its release timeline for each system.

To be honest, I don't see myself ever buying this game. I played the demo on my PS3 and... It's just not that great. I'm not great at side-scrollers but I still enjoy and appreciate them. If only this were one that I liked, but the demo was just weak...
Actually, the title and imagery made it sound so much more badass, like a nice Square Enix RPG, but I guess we just have to wait for more Final Fantasy and Kingsom Hearts (with a whole bunch of "D"s tacked on the end for kicks).

I'm a huge Strider fan, and found this game to be a massive disappointment. The control is too loose and simply doesn't feel very good.
I'd rather Capcom simply re-relase Strider 2 on PSN as a PSOne classic.
