Resident Evil 5 is half price on Games For Windows
17
Starting today and running until Thursday, April 28 at 11:30am EST, Resident Evil 5 is half-off on the Games For Windows marketplace -- down to $15 from its usual $30 asking price. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to give a lonely Majini a home. Sure, they may be parasitic shells of their former selves, but that doesn't mean they don't have feelings, guys.
It should be noted that this is the base edition of Resident Evil 5, sans both DLC packs: Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape. It also doesn't include the Versus mode.

Nice.
Also, if 10 dollars is all your momma allows you to spend, I am pretty sure metro 2033 is on sale for 10 on steam. Sorry to be a Windows buzzkill.

I recommend this especially for 15.
Some of the mods out there are pretty fun to play with, not to mention thus includes a 1000G separate to the 360 game if that's a factor for you in purchasing.

I'm just waiting for them to do a discount on BB:CT. Sure CS is out and all but when I have just my laptop I might want to still get some practice in. However $35 for a game I can get for $15 new on 360 and PS3 and import it from theUK for $12 after shipping is a big asking price.

Seems a fair enough price, unfortunately I bought this when it was more expensive, along with Dead Space 1, and had more fun with Dead Space.

Agreed completely. Especially on Games for Windows live. Every time I re-install some of the awesome games that unfortunately use that system, I never end up playing it. Sign in, update, restart, sign in, update, restart. It seems like an endless cycle. Can't you just update me to the newest patch? Or let me update outside of the game? It's for this reason I'll probably never end up playing Dirt 2 or Arkham Asylum again. It especially pisses me off because I bought the damn games through Steam. I don't need another DD service on top of the one I bought the game from.
I actually really like XBOX live (minus the price of course), but bringing it to the PC was a huge blunder for microsoft, and using it exclusively is a huge blunder for any developer/publisher.

1) RE5 for Windows doesn't even have the DLC available
2) Metro 2033 is indeed $9.99 on Steam, but also $4.99 on GamersGate. Because the game uses Steamworks DRM, it's the exact same thing. They'll give you a cd-key and you (must) register it w/ Steam.

Why bother buying Resident Evil 5 if the DLC isn't coming out.
