I've never bought Playstation Plus before and this deal seems nice and i already know what PS plus can do and all the great deals it gets im definitely getting this. To bad psn is down this totally ruins the rest of my spring break

i got it in october...

but anyways.. to anyone considering it, imo its well worth it... iv gotten much more than 39pounds of free stuff back, and im only 6month in.

also Killzone, Socom, Infamous2 betas, and Resistance/Uncharted to come soon :)

Well, assuming Sony doesn't ultra fail company-wise and that the eventual PS4 has similar online features, stockpile years and years and years.

O dear playstation what are you doing ? PSN down for days then you try to sell plus ? Hopefully this will prompt them to make the online better on playstation it always annoys me how difficult some things are on the playstation some times

To all the 'Its useless when its down' & 'waste of money' whiners, if you had a working braincell between you, you'd probably be aware that what PS+ offers has very little to do with an actual internet service, its largely free content, early access, and stuff like that.
This isnt XBL, where you're paying for them to provide the PSN service, PSN is FREE and thats what your not being provided. PS+ isnt down, and very little of what it entitles you to is unavailable, and the vast majority of people wont have signed up for it with those aspects being essential.
But hey, dont let the truth get in the way of a pathetic agenda.

I dont know if you can purchase this as a 15mo addon to your existing contract, if it could, i'd have no hesitation in doing so. Its not an essential purchase like XBL, its optional, but what you get during that year is well worth the small cost if you like being given randon 'free' games to keep you occupied for a few hrs. I doubt anyone hasnt found value in the fee with just the content received so far. It might not be to everyones taste, but that doesnt make it a bad service, and it certainly has NOTHING to do with the fact that some sad individual is hacking PSN resulting in it being down.

I bought PS+ to get ahold of the DCUO beta in December. I failed to remember to cancel it, so now I have it again for another 3 months. In my opinion it is so incredibly lame and not worth it. Its existence doesn't even make sense. So you get a deal on crappy PSone games, no-name arcade games and free one hour trials of games that most of us have already played...who cares? PS3 owners can already play online free. And when you cancel it, none of the free stuff remains, so it's like you were just renting it. It's terrible. I can't wait to not forget to remember to cancel this POS.

OK with the network down, why would I get this? Can't even buy it anyways without the network up. DOn't advertise something you can't right now purchase. LAME! If they don't give every Playstation + member an extra month for this down issue, then I might never get this PLUS again. And MK is really boring. Damn, game has not changed since 16bit console era. Oh ya, Suer nintendo didn't like the blood and Sega did. remember that?

The 3 free months will be all you can use. Seems like PSN won't be up for a year.

It does sort of seem like Sony is waving the flag of incompetence high and proud.

I mean, if no one sat around thinking to themselves that maybe they should hold off on advertising sales of products that aren't currently use-able until they are, simply *because* people like us might find it ridiculous, they need to hire a new PR department.

Oh the irony.

I bought PS+ on the promise of proper in game audio chat features, they never delivered so I won't be renewing my PS+ this time, as much as the free content did make it value for money, the social aspect of the PS3 is not complete and does not come close to competing with XBL, I believe Sony will only deliver a fully fledge social gaming experience by the time PS4 comes about.

Personally though I have lost interest in gaming altogther so I sold my PS3 yesterday, XBOX 360 went a couple of months ago. I might get back into it when the PS4 comes about haha, cya guys!
