"and the second being that chickens don't have names"

You obviously don't know any farmers.

So, was the 360 version just a springboard to get them where they really wanted to be? It's pretty crappy that we haven't heard anything concerning updates to the XBLA version since the Steam version became available.

I'm pretty sure it's a dead community on XBLA.

Microsoft likes to force developers into certification processes which cost alot of money.

One of the reasons why you never saw any of the class updates on TF2 for the consoles was the fact that to certify them all, Microsoft would have charged over $50,000 to Valve (Valve said this.)

The PS3 version never got those updates because EA handled the port, and they had no interest in doing them.

As an MNC fanatic, I can explain the Chickey Cantor thing...

The MNC guys made it onto a chicken-farmer-themed blog to do an interview about MNC (among other things). Anyway, the reward for doing the interview was that the MNC guys got to name one of the blogger's chickens.

So, they named it "Chickey Cantor." And now it's in the game.

I had forgotten about that.

No, what it really was was someone wrote in saying they had the game, and loved playing it, and wanted to play it with their friend, but their friend simply couldn't afford the game right now.

So he offered this. In exchange for a copy of the game for his friend, they could name one of their chickens (they raised chickens) and would recieve a photo of it, and a guarantee the chicken's name would be forever whatever they name it.

They accepted, sent him a Steam key for his friend, and said the name they wanted was "Chickey Cantor."

You might have READ about it on some blog like that, but the original story was posted by the guy on the Steam forums. And a picture of their chickens and I think a screenshot of the reply back from the company was shown.

Here's the original thread.

The blog you saw was probably his mother's blog.

Rereading it, it was actually a combination of the two.

Guy sends in request. They send him the Steam keys, and the name.

His mother invites them to do an interview for her blog, of which normally guests get to name a chicken.

They do the interview, and the chicken gets named.
