I find myself thinking of this as Soul Brother, but in cars. A notion I'm more than fine with.

I really wonder if UBI can save what used to be a great game, i really hope so... i was very disappointed by the Wheelman. Hope this time they can pump some quality on driver, this one could be a great franchise once again if done right.

@Hunter141072

I really dont like the sound of the car switching thing though. I like the grittyness of driver games, But having super powers seems silly. (I know its because he isnt really in the real world and its all in his head, But that kinda makes it worse). But its a driver game, So i am buying it.

Finally a proper police pursuit game, because that NFS: Hot Pursuit remake was a joke.

Hot Pursuit is great. It isn't the same a Driver where you are in an open world. I am excited about pursuit in an open world that is less clumsy than a GTA game. Hot Pursuit vs. Driver is apples and oranges.

They MUST keep the 70's music! That was part of the charm of the original Driver. Any chance there's anyone from that development team from Reflections onboard?

I want this one to be good... more than good hopefully .... This franchise was going downhill since after the first and second one on the PS1 .... Which were amazing at the time in my opinion

Agreed. The original had it's moments.

The first one was a classic. It's too bad they can't just remake that one, but with today's technology and without the psychotic AI (which nevertheless made me crack up while playing, since no cops would be as dedicated as the ones in this game).

"after being involved in an accident, gains the unusual ability to shift into the bodies of other drivers in the game on-the-fly."

This part sounds dumb already though. But...we'll see how it goes.

I mostly remember the last level, where the black cars would hit you so hard you'd fly into the air and clip out of the screen. It was awesome.

I think this whole body switching ruins the franchise, which was known for its gritty 70ies setting. Maybe it's just me, but i was hoping for some kind of remake or update of the first and second games, which were fantastic and really revolutionary. I'm just not sold on this whole ghost thing and makes the game a no buy for me... : (

This whole body switching ghost thing totally ruins it for me and makes this game go from "absolutely buy" to "no way they ruined it". I played all Driver games and think that the first two were by far the best. They were spot on with their Bullit car chase style and at that time revolutionary in many ways. Still play them from time to time on my trusty PlayStation. I'm really sorry for what they did to this last entry.... : (

Is this the franchise that makes you do stunts to complete the levels?
