We've trimmed the video to protect the identity of our tipster, but the full video also includes an ad on the dashboard stating that Hulu Plus will indeed launch on April 29, as was recently reported. Furthermore, the ad notes it will launch at 9:00 UTC, which corresponds to the usual 2:00am Pacific upload time for Xbox Live content. Find the video after the break.
Hulu Plus for Xbox 360 caught on video
47
An anonymous tipster has sent Joystiq a video of Hulu Plus running on an Xbox 360. The video, which appears to be legitimate, shows off some of the interface as well as video playback. Overall, it's very similar to the interface used by Netflix, including the ability to search for programs and add them to the queue.

Sweet, a commercial to watch a commercial.

@SmarmyJerkface If your a member of Joystiq Plus (Joy+ ) you can skip the ads. If you search Joystiq Plus in the search bar above you can sign up. It shouldn't take you more then a few minutes to sign up and support the Joystiq team. I mean after all, you get all this great content, coverage, and community for a great price. Paying some extra money to skip 15 seconds worth of ads just sweetens the pot. As an added bonus you get a gold bold box around your name every time you post that way everyone knows you are better then them. You can't even down vote it :D I still haven't signed up yet. They want like 11.00 dollars. I can buy a really good lunch with that meal. Justin understands.

Ads? What are we paying for again?

I wouldn't mind the ads so much if they would just get MORE shows to have the Plus perks (back catalog of episodes and viewable on non-PC devices).

Funny that. I pay the same price for Netflix every month. No ads.
Maybe Hulu needs to reexamine their maths . . . or stop trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes. One of the other is fine by me.

I mean available legally for free online. Pretty much every show is available for streaming from their network's website.

Is Hulu Plus even worth it? I was looking through the selection earlier, and there was nothing too exciting about it. They don't even have every season of most shows, the movies are terrible except for the ones which are also on Netflix Instant, and the fact that you still have to sit through ads kind of ruins the whole point.

@OneManFreakShow hulu has entire criterion collection if you say rose are all terrible movies You need to get your head examined.

Netflix is way better than Hulu. Stick with Netflix.

If you want shows in HD, go with Hulu. Not all shows on netflix are in HD and also they only put shows up once they are on DVD.

Without Hulu, I wouldn't be able to get caught up with The Office or Parks and Recreation.

@Mrblonde57 Yea yea, we get it. You work for Hulu. Shaddup!
I love Hulu as well and I'm currently paying for it (even though I can't use my PS3 for it). But still, 7.99 is way too much.

Yes-Hulu currently only can stream its content in the US. No international streaming rights for Canada,UK,Australia, etc currently.
Posted: Apr 27th 2011 7:59PM babya said
They should add ABC iView-another great service from Australia for those in Australia. Or even iPlayer for those in the UK-who like us don't currently have access to Hulu Plus.

I just don't get hulu. You can get all this programming for free over-the-air and still use your dvr to skip commercials.

Anyone have Hulu Plus who can say if it's worth getting? I have Netflix streaming. I am considering canceling cable and just going Netrlix + Hulu + but I don't know what to make of Hulu.

@WiNGSPANTT from TopTierTacticsco I canceled my cable and went Netflix/hulu. Best decision I've ever made. Save so much money.

What exactly does Hulu Plus have? I dont have cable, does this mean I'll get a lot of cable channels that I normally cant pick up with my antenna? The 360 is starting to be such a cool media device, I already use 360's for Media Center extenders, Netflix on 360, possible Hulu Plus, Last.fm for music while cleaning the house and the occasional Zune movie rental lol.
Posted: Apr 28th 2011 12:17AM MarkHawk said
@AFATALERR0R It gives you access to a lot of shows past the normal 4-6 newest episodes. It will also give you entire past seasons. For example if you are a standard member you get the 4 newest episodes of Fringe. However if you are a plus member you get all of the current season plus the last 2 seasons. Not a bad deal but not for everyone. Also made tougher if you cant sit through 30 to 1:00 of ads during a broadcast.
