What is so wrong about having a Cleveland Brown on the cover? When was the last time they got to have something of credibility?

@Papytendo

Two reasons:

1) I used to live in Cleveland, and I know better than to expect anything but heartache, disappointment, and failure from the Browns, no matter how much promise they may have in the summer (see: Charlie Frye, Brady Quinn, Tim Couch).
2) I now live in Pittsburgh, and was in fact born here. It's a genetic thing.

Let's hope this isn't the top of the mountain for Cleveland.

I wouldn't be shocked if EA stuffed the ballots to avoid the negative publicity that Vick on the cover would welcome.

I am usually not the one to rail on an annual sports game as "just a roster update", because I, you know, am a rational human being with a functioning brain. But this years Madden has to be the most phoned in, moneygrab version yet. At least, that's what it appears to be. The NCAA Football game was miles better than Madden last year in every way (graphics, gameplay, online-integration), and looks like that will once again be the case this year.

@Scin I like that people down rank my post to defend a dog killer. Maybe I'm the minority but I won't give him a second chance after making dogs fight for his entertainment/profit.

@Scin
my problem with what he did was that he consciously made a daily decision to carry out this illegal endeavor. i'm not going to defend drunk driving but at least a DUI is a isolated incident (usually). nobody wants to kill someone else in a car wreck. but you have to think Vick would still be fighting dogs if he had never been caught. he wanted to do what he was doing.

even if he had won i don't think EA is dumb enough to put that controversial of a figure on their product. and he was on it in 2004. it would be stupid to repeat players.

@Scin ... I can't stand Michael Vick. I'll give him credit as being a very good football player, but as a human I think he's a waste. I can never forget what Vick did to those dogs. I'm glad he's not on the cover.

@Scin Vick. Didn't. Kill. A. Single. Dog. Personally. I wish you people would get it through your skulls that he is guilty of partaking in the gambling. He's not right for what he did, but Vick didn't touch one damn dog.
And every single one of you know that if Vick wasn't famous, none of you would even care about this anymore

People need to let this go... He didn't kill anybody. People will ignore homeless people in the street but let strays in their house. Vick did his time and accepted the consequences. Can't people change? You probably have the same mindframe as the "self proclaimed chrisitian" on Fox News stating the Vick should of been executed for what he did. For dogs? For some damn dogs?

I can't believe people sometimes.

@MLC ... I don't like Vick and that's my opinion. I don't like the Eagles either, so go whine about that too. I don't care if he didn't personally kill a dog, he gave the order which is just as bad. Your comparison of stray dogs and homeless people made me laugh. You, my friend, are a moron. Go Peyton.

It's either an abbreviation for a printer company or salt.

Either way, I'm more likely to spend my worthless ass American money on those before I bother giving anything to the NFL. Eff them and this whole Lockout nonsense.

But congrats to Peyton Hillis, he is a player worthy of accolade. I hope he(and Cleveland)escape, Curse-Free.

Nice to see a lower key player like Hillis win and not the big names of the year like Rodgers, Vick or Brady.

Woulda liked it if Danny Woodhead made it on the cover, but this is still good.
