If you, like us, have already completed Portal 2's single-player and co-op campaigns a number of times, you're probably waiting on pins and needles for news about downloadable content. Well, you can now move to much less prickly chair -- in a recent interview with Fast Company, Valve VP of marketing Doug Lombardi said, "We will be announcing some DLC for it, so folks can keep a look out for more content coming this summer."
According to Lombardi, more details about the content will be coming "in a week or so," adding, "We'll support that with more videos or more comics." We'll hope against hope that said DLC is more substantial than the co-op bot skins that are available through the PC and Mac versions' in-game stores. Actually, as long as we're hoping, we're going to keep our fingers crossed for like, a hundred new co-op courses. And a new single-player campaign! And a pony!

Check out metacritic. If you don't like it, that's fine, but to insist it's everyone else who is wrong is a little ridiculous.

If this DLC is taking any time away from full releases (like, say, Half-Life Ep. 3) I'm against it.

I've stopped hoping. As soon as Valve says the word that it's being worked on, I'll hop right back on that train. Until then I'd rather pretend Half Life 3 just does not exist

"My lab boys here are telling me the game's over, and that more puzzles wouldn't make sense. Well, did bouncing blue diet gel make sense? Of course it didn't, but we did it anyway! Science isn't about sense, it's about progress! Now you get back in that chamber and you make it happen! Although we are going to need a small contribution. Apparently some whiny test subjects started some kind of lawsuit, something about spontaneous gelatinization. So, make those checks out to cash. Let's do some science!"

Personally I was disappointed with the Single Player Campaign. Don't get me wrong, I loved every second of it.. It was just over way to soon. :-/

Half-Life 3 or Half-Life 2 Episode 3
What do you think it'll be called
(My money is on Half-Life 3, Half - Life 2 Episode 3 after this amount of time just doesn't feel right as a title)

I'm fairly certain that they will ditch the "episode." Plus, if they were only to release a three hour episode after this long people would riot.
...I would riot.

It'll be Ep 3 but it'll more then likely be the new engine Valve ismaking as the Source Engine's old and pretty outdated.

Half Life 3 would have to be a full 15-20 hour game
Episode 3 would be 3-6 hours like the other episodes.
So yeah I'm hoping for HL3.

I hope they release that Left 4 Dead 2 DLC first. They mentioned they wouldn't release it until after Portal 2 came out.

@Monkeyzamm I want to play the PC version; I bouth the PS3 copy but can't hook Steam to PSN for you-know-why. I would really prefer playing on PC first (i just got back from a trip, so I haven't been waiting till recently). Hopefully patience will reward me.

@kgoo867: Ok, since apparently I am not a "real Valve fan" (don't own
PC or PS3 version, wouldn't understand if they skipped DLC for this),
I would really enjoy some good, beefy DLC. You know, a bunch of good
co-op maps, challenges/advanced chambers like in Still Alive, etc.

And hopefully it's free for PC otherwise I won't buy it. Not after paying £30 for a 6 hour game. A good 6 hours but since the co-op isn't as good as TF2 or L4D I probably won't be adding much to that clock.

I would doubt it as I believe Gabe has said DLC should be free... but then again, he did change his mind about ps3. I'd buy it if they sell it though, I just hope if it has a price tag buying ps3 or steam nets you dlc for both copies.

I actually would like it if they included that "nausea-inducing" gel that lets you walk across walls. They could call it the Nausea Pack or something, so people who get sick easily could stay away :)
