Are there a lot of Joystiq Readers still playing Rock Band regularly? I am just wondering because I played it a lot originally but have just gotten tired and worn out from the game.

This game, along with guitar hero, was huge in college and we used to play, drink and have a great time with these games. I just can't find any sort of motivation to go through and play that games anymore.

Now that I think about it.... maybe i should bring out the set again next time I have people over.

@Papsky I've the exact same problem. Played a crapton in college and just kind of stopped after I moved away and got a job. It makes me sad because those were such good times.

Just had a rock band night with a few other couples the other night, full band and all (drums, guitars, keys, singers). We played for about 5 hours.

Granted, I'm not a good example, because myself and my friends are all mostly musicians of sorts, so play rock band instead of most other party games.

Same here. Have around 200 DLC, have a Pro Guitar, had fun customizing my characters...can't get back into it, though.
There's only so much fun you can have with hitting the same combination of buttons.

I still play it 3 or 4 times a week. Pro drums, mostly. It's a great outlet after a shitty day of work. The DLC lately has been a bit underwhelming, but this round (excluding the Phish) looks pretty excellent.

Can't fault Harmonix for not week-to-week catering to my musical preference, though. It can't be NIN and STP every week. :)

nope. bought about 200 DLC songs too, who knows how much all that came out to but i regret alot of them. I don't regret rock band though, i LOVE that game. It made music games a must own for every person... but its been well over a year and the drums, guitar and mic are all stuffed in a closet. I didn't even pick up RB3 because at that point i knew it was a fad (for me at least) and i would play it for 2-3 months but soon would grow old again. Also, the DLC has become pretty meh, to me at least, its become alot of pop or old school songs. Would it really hurt to put some modern stuff in there, i know the RB community are a bunch of assh0les who only want 1337 songs but if you can put a Culture Club song you can add some modern stuff too

@Papsky I don't play quite as often as I used to. I'm down to about 3 hours every other week.

I play when I get the chance. College and work keeps me so busy that I don't have the time to really game. So, when I get the chance, which means no homework and main TV not being used, I play RB. Else I just play DoW on my PC.

Hell yes. I have about 900 songs. I mostly stick to Pro Drums but I'm learning the keys now, too, for all the new stuff. I'll play most days, sometimes for several hours. There's also a monthly Rock Band night in town (San Francisco) where we alternate competition and freeplay with several regulars.

Holy crap... DLC that may actually be worth buying. I'll have to give all the songs a refresher listen first though. Not sure how the drums are on all of them.

Do those game feature any other Phish tunes?
