I never really am good at creating my own levels. they always come out WAY too hard, or just bad.

The nice thing about the SMB portal is that you have to set your own time before you can upload it, so people can't upload impossible levels. As long as it's possible to beat, it's not way too hard.

All the cool things are being released towards the end of this semester.. MUST RESIST...

When i do finally play it, I'll finally learn how it feels for Team Meat being unforgiving and cruel.

Gotta love team meat. I messed around with the level editor yesterday. It reminded me of debug mode in the original sonic games. You use the scroll wheel to find an item you want to place in the world, and then move it around and click to place it. It's not the quickest most optimized way to create levels, but it works. I can't wait to see what crazy levels people come up with.

But I can't access Super Meat World yet, I only have 14 bandages.

No level editor for the Xbox 360 version? :(

LittleBigPlanet on the PS3 gets a level editor, so why can't SMB get one on the 360?

This just makes me long for a proper level editor in the next Super Mario game. If it's similar to Mario Builder, then I'm happy.

It's a microsoft thing. Microsoft wouldn't allow unregulated user generated content. Except in special cases they rarely allow any sort of communication to real servers aside from leaderboards or matchmaking.

Just get the PC/MAC version if you want to play with a level editor. It's not like you need a powerful machine to run it. It's even been on sale for $3 a few times already.

@CaramelZappa

So Microsoft doesn't want Xbox Live to be an open platform like PSN?

@tendoboy1984 You can run Super Meat Boy on a calculator. Just get it on one of Steam's absurd $0.99 sales.

This is news to you? Same reason Steam isn't allowed on Xbox Live, among other things.

Can't wait to see people recreate Super Mario Bros. or Sonic The Hedgehog with this.

"if you bitched us out because the free level editor was delayed, you should probably not update your game and burn in hell."

Why? They paid for your game and were promised something that took way too long to get here. If it takes until May, fine, but don't tell people it'll be out early 2011.

People think the timely release of this is bad? Civ V still hasn't released it's hotseat patch.
