Somewhat off-topic but I just want to say that I'm mad at the trio this week. Where is my podcast? Huh?

Extra life got my vote

Why they think it's a good idea to keep making comics is beyond me... This week's one is true, but horribly unfunny. It's hard to make the truth unfunny (unless it's a natural disaster or PSN being down, although some people manage to make PSN being down quite humorous) but these guys make the truth really unfunny. I just... I can appreciate effort, but it's like they don't even try.

Eh, I thought the dragon age boobs and liberty tax guy were funny, but that's all i got after looking at a hundred or so other NCV comics which were all unfunny, not to mention the bad art.

Bad art is subjective...in that they subject us to it.

Looking at Penny Arcade in a philosophical way, do we truly exist any more than the barrel does? The fact that it is in a world different to our own is beside the point. I would argue that, at least in the world it is a part of, it exists. I'm sure from the perspective of the NPC's in the barrel's world, we don't truly exist either.

Thinking about it some more, do we truly live in the real world? Of course, we're physical matter, but our perception of the world is dictated by interpretation. Thus, in a sense, we are taking in information from our environment in order to create a world that we are a part of... So in reality, the things you are seeing are not truly real either; just representations of them...

Hmmm... I really don't think Tycho has given the whole idea of virtual goods enough thought.

I think it's accepted that there is no 100% objective view or test of anything. That we cannot know what others experience is enough to "taint" any and all scientific tests. However for the sake of continued research it's important to pretend that everyone (generally) sees the same shade of blue, or sees the same result from the same lab rat (when multiple people are observing it.)

tl;dr: Maybe you went crazy and imagined this entire life you're living.

If you think about it, aren't we all really imagining life (or, in different terms, distorting it with our imagination.)?

If what we saw was "true" reality, rather than our imagination (a distorted reality), then wouldn't we all be the same person.

Even though I haven't played any Portal game, gotta give the nod to Portal Tetris, easy.

I did get a good chuckle out of the inspirational message on the sign in BitF, though.

Also, Extra Life is good. I have one stupid friend where you would swear to god the only he cares about in life anymore is Sony. Thiiiiiis close to hiding him forever from my facebook news feed. I can only take so much griping about PSN and playing Marvel or DC, whatever it is, just on and on and on....

Do you not own a decent gaming PC or PS3/Xbox 360? Not playing Portal is like dying without ever truly living! The first one was even free on Steam a year or so ago!

@sonicspike41 Doesn't even have to be a decent gaming PC. My 4 year old laptop can run portal on high settings. Basically, anyone can play portal now, and everyone should have played portal by now.

Damnit. The rare week where all of the entries are great. All of the Portal jokes were excellent (especially Tetris), but that Extra Life drawing with a gun to Sackboy is priceless...

None of these were funny to me. While I liked Portal Tetris, it's not really a comic. However, Awkward Zombie gets my vote because I can relate. I totally found myself stumped at one point because I forgot I had a gun that shoots freaking wormholes.

Omake Theater was a cute use of the portal gun.

I avoided Portal Tetris because... it just wasn't fair for the other comics.

Omake Theater is genius. Tie the blanket to itself through a portal to create a hammock! Sure beats sleeping on the floor. Interesting use of portals. I would never have thought of that.

All the Portal related ones are quite funny. I liked Portal Tetris for it's execution.... but Omake Theater's Untitled gets my final vote for being funny, clever and giving me a general good feeling.
