I'm actually seriously concerned this isn't just an elaborate hoax by that evil Justin McElroy... :(

Don't make me send the british over again.

Who else is going to force feed me marmite when I go to PAX? :(

@NBA Kirkland I got it! Thanks bro!

Also, I haven't heard the reasoning for the end of the podcast. Anyone want to post a spoiler for those of us that won't be able to hear it right away?

I normally don't comment or really like my presence heard on the internet manly because I have nothing good to say. Nor do I have any friends outside the meat space as they would say and sadly online as well :(. I don't really have a likable face and I'm not funny, but even so when I listen to the Joystiq and Xbox 360 Fancast podcast it makes me happy. It makes me feel like I have friends, good friends. I will miss these podcast very deeply and will be getting drunk tonight in there honor. I hope they know how much they have made me laugh and smile and I wish nothing but the best for there future. They're good people and and always show they're real self. I award these two podcast infinite stars and not one less. Good bye

From a lonely and sad die hard fan :'(

Just read the comments and tweets about the ending of X3F. Very sad way to start Tuesday morning in Europe. Obviously, X3F crew has all the right to do what they think it is the best for them so I will accept their decission and wish them the best in their current and future projects.

I have been a late listener (heard first one just after Xav left) but I have not been disappointed by any single episode since then. Great works, guys. Will continue reading you and hearing DNAFoodCast.

BOOOOOOO!!!!!

Seriously though, I hope they replace these with *something*. I've been an X3F listener since Hinkle's first episode, and it's (or it was, I guess) easily the best gaming podcast out there. I never heard a bad episode of either one. The Joystiq podcast was great as well. My tuesday and friday commutes will now have significantly fewer lolz :(.

I've been listening to this for years now, I remember walking home from college listening to it every week, and now weekly on my commute to Uni.

As if my exams starting wasn't depressing enough, now X3F ends :(

Thanks guys!

PS: Love you three, but if you come back with the other joystiq guys im out. Cant stand listening to them.

The guy with the birds from The Shawshank Redemption was Brooks I believe. Red was Morgan Freeman.

Also, do you sign up for the draft? Doesn't the draft conscript you? I wouldn't know, I'm not in the military, but it sounded weird when Alexander said it.

Btw, sad to see the show go away.

Sad day. Very, very sad. X3F was really an entertainment highlight on my week and pretty much the only thing that kept me coming back to joystiq.com. I dont even play many games any more (has a kid) but because I listened, I still kept up and bought some of the ones you guys raved about for when I have more time.

I hope what you are working on in the future is a bigger and better podcast. But by your tone, that is not really a certainty, is it? Anyway, best of luck with the future whatever.

I know its hard to keep providing free entertainment when benefits are unclear and AOL is in the dumps, but the good will find a way. Although there may be a long dark path ahead.

In any case, you guys are great and very talented. You should seek to continue podcasting in some way shape or form because you will be stars eventually. Great job and hope X3F is reborn in a more glorious fashion.

So I go on vacation and dont listen on my normal schedule then see Hinkle talking about saying "goodbye" to us at a number. I'm not happy guys, I dont think its their fault but this really sucks. I rely on podcasts to get me through a work day of driving 100 miles a day in a city only to stop to deal with douchbags for 30 minutes at a time sweating my sack off. This is a real let down. I thought Joystiq podcast was screwing around because of the awards. Half of my gaming podcasts will now be gone, and sadly I have to say they were in my top 3 podcasts. I really hope you guys come back, I dont see why or what you or the big wigs at AOL could possibly pop out to top this or why they couldnt co-exist.

Ladies and gentlemen... from the same inspiring Huffington Post management team that bought you the simultaneous walkout of everyone you cared about at Engadget, we bring you round two of the continuing experiment to dismantle AOL's blog portfolio. At HP, we like to think that entertainment doesn't absolutely *have* to be entertaining.

X3F has been one of he most consistently fun podcasts I listen to, and unless something replaces it very soon (and that something involves very prominent Richard and Alexander), they should just walk out and start their own site - gdgt/thisismynext style. The thing that makes Joystiq special is the people, and if they're not appreciated then they should walk (and my money follows them wherever that happens to be).
