Awesome. I am excited. Wish it was Alan Wake 2 but anything to continue the story will be fantastic and if it performs well, Alan Wake 2 would be that much closer to being real :)

@DanteSparda504 I really liked Alan Wake so this is good news, hopefully this time they'll learned their lesson and will not be exclusive.

@The angry pro consumer gaming ga the only lesson they need to learn is not to release on the same day as a Rock-star game does .

I hope it is Thomas Zane's story. Playing through how he got into that particular predicament would be fun.

Agreed. I am thinking we get the original story of the Lady of the Lake and Thomas Zane. I would play it.

Is it wrong for me to actually be disappointed by this news? I'd much rather have Alan Wake 2 more than Alan Wake 1 on my credit card stealing system.

@TheHungryPanda yeah it sounds like something they could **** up when all they have to do is just make Alan Wake 2.. but I'm hoping for Alan Wake 2 either way.

@kmcroc Yeah because being exclusive worked out "SO" well for Remedy, I'm sure they learned their lesson and will want to go multi.

@The angry pro consumer gaming ga their problem was not it bieng released on XBOX but releasing at the same time as Red Dead Revolver . their release time was what hurt them not the system.

Alan Wake: The Sudden Stop

Not that I don't have faith in Rockstar but I would love to see Remedy's spin on the whole death of max pa... err i mean alex casey. It's not going to happen but I can dream huh?!

@That One Guy

It's the same reason Sony tards would shit a brick if god of war or uncharted suddenly went multiplat. MS has publishing rights to Alan Wake so I'm not that worried. They will probably put it on PC under the games for Windows label thou and I'm cool with that.

@That One Guy just don't feel MS should let their exclusive go anywhere just like other hardware maker are not letting theirs go any where ,yes i also understand that remedy is not a first party studio owned by MS like other studios. but with the lack of exclusive in the MS folds ,they must learn to lookout for the studios they have working for them & treat them like first party studios. even if that means others will not get to enjoy the game unless they have that hardware . personally have nothing against other system owners ,just feel that consoles & other product need to keep the items that made them stand out from all the rest. cause whats the point of having a variety of console if everything is going to be offered on all others.(JMOL)

@pradius Uncharted and GoW are 1st party titles, Remedy owns Alan Wake not MS. You're right that MS does have publishing right to "Alan Wake" the game not the series, that is why Joystiq says in the article that platforms haven't been announced. This is the exact same thing that Mass Effect was under, MS owns the publishing rights to the first, but not the franchise.

@The angry pro consumer gaming ga

Mass Effect only went muliplatform because Electronic Arts bought Bioware. If Bioware was still independent then ME would still be 360 exclusive. And as far as Alan Wake its in the contract with MS they get to publish least two more Alan Wakes and I don't see MS passing that up. Good try thou ;)

There's nothing wrong with it being on another console but 360 owners can't play games like Uncharted 2, God Of War 3 & Little Big Planet 2. So I mean it's fair enough.

@Voltron That's what I'm afraid of: ALAN WAKE & FRIENDS, where you play as the supporting cast. "Inject patients as Hartman! Make snide remarks as Nightingale! Whine as Barry!"
