Mass Effect Executive Producer Casey Hudson has confirmed that the final installment of the trilogy will finally allow a male Shepard to know the touch of another man. Hudson tweeted over the weekend that Mass Effect 3 will support "wider options for love interests," including same-sex for male and female characters "reactive to how you interact with them in-game."
Previous installments of the stellar, interstellar saga allowed Shepard to participate in male/female, lesbian and Asari tentacle-head encounters. The omission of a gay pairing for Shepard became even harder to reconcile when BioWare's Dragon Age series allowed players the freedom to define the sexual orientation of their protagonists.
In interviews, BioWare heads Drs. Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk have been responsive to the subject. "The team has its perspective," Muzyka told us during February's DICE meeting. "When they created the character, when they defined him. We're pretty open to how the team wants to define their characters. We go with what they like."
It seems the team is ready to try something different.

I don't really understand this complaint. If they did, would EA somehow force you to play it? Does it somehow ruin the narrative? No. So why bitch about it?

The more resources used for unwanted options such as multiplayer, take away from the core game itself. Things that would have been added into a single player campaign, won't make it due to changes like this, or things shoehorned in to satisfy the 2nd player present.
If people want multiplayer so damn bad, then make a spinoff specifically for the multiplayer junkies out there. Not tack it into the core game itself...I would much rather them just finish the series first.

Agree'd. I rather them finish the storyline to the series than have the game ruined by its Multiplayer part.

If a developer is contemplating a multiplayer element or something, they'll factor in things like new potential revenue that would result from such an endeavor, the necessary number of people needed to work on it, etc. to the point where the inclusion of multiplayer almost always means that a dev has to build a stand-alone 'team' of sorts, seperate (not taken from) from the team working on the campaign. It's not as two dimensional a process as you and people who share your argument like to act.
Man, if only Uncharted 2, Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Grand Theft Auto IV, Dead Space 2, Red Dead, wait, you know where I'm going with this. Why do I hear this argument every time without fail, despite the fact that there are several examples from this generation that show that a capable dev can put out a satisfying single player element that is NOT compromised by the inclusion of a multiplayer element?

True, but let's show a little faith in Bioware and EA. Multiplayer didn't take away the greatness of Uncharted 2 or Red Dead Redemption. Personally, I'm down for anything that gives me an excuse to play Mass Effect.

You're a bigot. A hateful person. The first amendment grants you all the liberty you want to be a close-minded little douchebag. Though it is curious that your rage is isolated to male homosexuals.
You're also pathetically trying to create a false dichotomy - either people stand up and be bigots like you, or they're afraid to hop on the bigot-town express with you. Crawl back into your hole and go play some Left Behind games or something.

On this topic, yeah, guess thats me. But wait, by definition aren't you a bigot too? Aren't you 1000% intolerant of my viewpoint? See, you and I are the same. We're both bigots, just on opposite ends of the spectrum. But I won't belittle you for it. You're cool with me. There's a whole lot of people out there who are part of the club too, and don't even know it.

Oh please. You're very naive, possibly too young to understand how the world works. You are NOT on opposite sides of the spectrum. You are hating a whole group of individuals for their sexual orientation, not even the whole group, only the males. So your solution is to call people that disagree with you "bigots" as well?
No, that's not how it works. You are hating on something that people can't (and in most cases don't want to) change about themselves. We are hating not on you, but your close minded opinion and intolerance, which CAN change. The sad part is, you know that your opinion is bigoted, and even mentioned it in your first comment, but still chose to comment anyway. What an attention seeking troll you are.

I don't know why you got downvoted. I'm sure you weren't being homophobic, Anders was just incredibly pushy and it got old fast. Isabella was the same way, but unlike Anders, she wasn't so danged serious that any overtly flirtatious remarks she made couldn't be laughed off.
Also, tits.

Thats what Im wondering, to keep the conversation options consistent there should be a choice when you start the game. I dont want to accidentally choose one of those vague descriptions of what sheapard will say and then switch on gay romance mode which will end up ruining the relationship between those characters, or be limited in what I can say because the game is only letting me choose between 2 romance options and one neutral.
If theres no toggle then I really dont see this working.

@FinalOutrage - If it works anything like previous Mass Effects, you'll have to talk to the character constantly to get the romantic options. In other words, if you don't want to bone someone, just don't talk to them that often. Kind of like real life.

The overtures in ME1 and 2 were pretty subtle and were something you really had to elicit - and if you didn't pursue a particular character it didn't ruin the relationship. I wouldn't expect ME3 to be any different in that sense.
