During every E3, the internet is thrown into a full-blown panic as it desperately searches for a stable livestream of the Big Three's press conferences. This year, Spike will make this task far less intimidating for those who want to watch Microsoft's briefing. Tthe network has announced that it will air the Xbox 360-centric show live at 12:30 pm PT on Monday, June 6.
Of course, we'll be breaking out the most important announcements of the show here on our humble gaming news blog -- but sometimes, our words can't capture the magic of the events that unfold on that stage. For instance: Kudo's Magic Foot Dance.

I thought they had a pretty good keynote last year with all the Kinect stuff they showed off. It didn't feel contrived like 2009's keynote.

@PR0F3TA didn't realize Microsoft had to impress you in particular. Last I checked Kinect has broken SEVERAL records including "Fastest Selling Consumer Electronics Device".

@DigitalImpulse I didn't realize a billion dollar corporation needed to have nerds on the internet defend them. Nor did I realize that sales numbers both equate to and makeup for a bad press conference.

@TheDarkWayne Like you said, they're a billion dollar company. I'm sure if they wanted your opinion they'd ask you. oh that's right.. you're not even press and this is a press conference.

@DigitalImpulse Well gee, I guess you're right. Opinions should only be given when directly solicited, and us lowly consumers who buy their products don't matter at all. Golly.

I was just referring to the lighting Microsoft will most likely choose for their E3 Stage...
I rather have more hardcores games of course, but that won't be happening from what they have been hinting and showing.
I'll be sticking to my PC until more hardcore games are released on the consoles.
and no, an AAA FPS shooter does not equal a hardcore game, to me. I want a game with a long learning curve.

I hope you are joking....
I'm more excited for Nintendo's E3 Brief, then followed by Sony, and lastly IDC Microsoft.

@ClarkyAC You're thinking of G4. They're the channel that shows the conferences. I wonder if this means they wont be doing Microsoft this year.

You're going to part of an experimental ad campaign to see if you can actually become significantly stupider through tv advertisements in one, that's right one, hour.

I'm just hoping for some great announcements all around when E3 starts.
What would you guys like to see at E3?
For Me:
Metal Gear Rising (a good chunk of it no more teases)
Zone of the Enders 3
Something Dino Crisis related
Those 3 for me off the top of my head.

@Jawmuncher Expectations (however unlikely) and hopes for me this year would have to include
Half Life 3
Halo remake announcement
Metal Gear Rising
Another CG trailer for SWTOR along with some news
Can't really think of a lot of other reasonable stuff
Aside from those, deep in my heart of hearts, my truest hope is that they announce the new 360 and/or PS3. It's really been on my mind lately. I know graphics aren't everything, but when I see how far ahead PC versions can be of their console ports, and how much larger that gap will get between now and the 2014 analysts keep throwing around, it really makes me pine for a new breed.

I wish they'd air all of them instead of just Microsofts. I don't have G4 and when I did it wasn't even in HD. Also I wish they would do these presentations in the afternoon around 5pm so I can be at home enjoying instead of having to be at work and missing some stuff.

Not surprising since they had that press conference last year as well. I know because I thought G4 had it because they had "exclusive coverage" of E3. I guess not so much.

Joystiq it's 12:30 ET time not PT.. cause else that wouldn't be "live" haha.. it's at "12:30 PM ET / 9:30 AM PT." - cause I was going to say I have written down the conference started at 10AM PT from your post a few weeks back!

why do I get the feeling they're going to plug Spike TV in the middle of this keynote, and, just possibly, hold commercial breaks in between just for the privilege of bringing in spike TV to E3?
Posted: May 16th 2011 10:22PM RevolutionJ12 said
@JRMG Spike broadcasted Microsoft's keynote last year and there were no commercials and no spike TV plugs.

Still confused as to why they can't stream this to my console live. Although I will be at work and the DVR will be a running, so I can watch all the stuff I read about on Joystiq.
