I'm not sure how well they will do with it being non-persistent and yet on facebook. People get attached to their 'places' on facebook, they won't stay attached it they're constantly reseting their civilization.

@Dalrint The first comment out of his mouth was that it was persistent. I think they can pull it off and not to mention all Civ games have a traditional beginning and end. So why would it be any different. This might actually be a fun game for facebook. Which is new and unusual :)

@Dalrint at 21 seconds in it says it's a persistent game...

@Gaddes @yadah

And then they spend the entire time telling you how you can 'win' each game. Various winning conditions are almost the entire point of it, in fact.

So, once you 'win' and the game starts over, how is that persistent?

I'm hoping this will be good, but all my knowledge of FB games and how cheesy "fame points" sound won't let me feel good about this. I suppose I'll give it a shot.

Until they figure out a way so I can play for as long as I want without running out of time based "turns" I can't really get behind these types of games.

It's just too aggravating to be forced to stop playing because you have played to much.

This sounds like the new reason I'll have facebook logged in and open all day, versus the time before this where there wasn't a reason at all.

Well that video was a bummer, it looks more like Farmville than Civ.
