Final Fantasy Tactics coming to iPhone in late June/mid-July, iPad later

The
Square Enix DLG Facebook page recently delivered a long-overdue update on the status of the iOS version of
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. It's currently slated to arrive on the iPhone in late June to mid-July. That's a little outside of its initial Spring 2011 launch window, but we're willing to give Square the benefit of the doubt, and label said time period as "very, very late Spring."
The update also mentions the game's iPad version, which will arrive "slightly behind" the iPhone version. The delay is attributed to the port's higher resolution -- a feature which Square is taking full advantage of by re-drawing some of the game's jaggier artwork. We were hoping that they'd take the time to also give the game's characters some noses, but we suppose beggars can't be choosers.
