Hellgate closed beta keys now available
28
After announcing that Hellgate would soon rise from the ashes, T3 Entertainment has now revealed that keys for the upcoming closed beta are now available. Keys can be obtained on the official Hellgate site or on "popular online game destinations."
A list of participating sites can be found here.
Sadly, Joystiq's Massively already ran out of keys, so we suggest you track one down through one of those other "destinations" as quickly as possible.

@Mad Me neither. The artwork here looks good, But after seeing the characters i got bored and didnt even try to get ni the beta. Why do fantasy games have to look the same!? It really annoys me.

Too bad that waste of a lifetime subscription my friend and I got at the original Hellgate launch doesn't mean anything now.

From the forums:
Q: Do players that got lifetime subscription from the other version get some incentives here in HG Global?
A: Most probably none since it's different companies but we'll still ask our higher management if they can come up with some. (Not promising anything) :)

Hopefully they listen to their testers this time.

Yes, there were a lot of testers for HGL.
And the unanimous word from the testers was for Monolith to delay the release.
Everyone begged, even pleaded with the developers not to release it on schedule because it wasn't ready.*
They ignored them and did it anyway.
*Well except for the usual band of "It's just a beta" people.

I remember trying out this game because of a friend's recommendation. That's all I remember about it.

Either Im lucky today or I don't know I just created an account and clicked Apply and got accepted . So lets see what this it about

@ramonini It says you have a 50/50 chance of being accepted if you take a gamble and apply rather than enter a code.
I got in too.
Which is good.
Cause I was in the first one.

Okay, I just signed up for the site and tried my luck and it said I was chosen to enter the gates of hell, but it didn't give me a code. I assume it will come later, when the beta starts, but any idea when that might be?

I don't believe you get a code if you try the Gates of Hell, it just flags your account for the CBT.

Why would anyone pay $150 for a lifetime sub to an optional pay to play game? I mean, really guys? Use some common sense.
On second thought, I've got some beach front property in the Congo I've got for sale.

Apparently people do not realize that Hellgate has been alive for years in the east. There was even an expansion , Hellgate: Tokyo released a year ago or so there and they have been planning another expansion.
Thats why the title does not have London right now - the game will eventually contain more than few cities.
