People are still buying horse armor? Seriously?

@Faceless Troll

They should just stop fooling around and make it free, or bundle it into some sort of ultimate GOTY addition... oh wait.

My bad, I thought that the Oblivion 5th anniversary edition would include the DLC for the game, but apparently not all the details are known about it at this time. The Amazon.com description of it says that it includes the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions.

http://www.amazon.com/Oblivion-5th-Anniversary-ed-Pc/dp/B0050JN846/ref=sr_1_1/192-6843552-8585927?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1306257089&sr=8-1

I couldn't imagine that they would make more money not bundling in all of the DLC into a new version of the game rather than leaving it out and hoping people will buy the extra content.

Why not rent/borrow the 2nd disc (DLC disc) from the GOTY? That's what my friends did and they never had to buy the DLCs.

Why are they even wasting their time making Elder Scrolls 5? They should just release a DVD with dozens of different horse armors. No game, just horse armors. Instant GOTY.

Dog armor for Fallout is a much better idea than horse armor that doesn't actually do anything.

is it any more rediculous than avatar clothes people buy on LIVE? i have not purchased a single avatar item. to me its the same concept. you spend money on it, and you look at it.

The way I see it, any avatar crap you buy helps keep Rare studios open and for that, I'm more than happy to do my part.

I would never buy avatar clothing for xbox live, but there is a difference. In Oblivion, the horse armor only changes the skin of your horse, doesn't add anything at all, you can't even show it off to your friends. The xbox live avatar clothing adds something to the experience, it allows you to personalize your avatar; to individualize it. This is only possible because other people can see it. In Oblivion there is only an "I, it" relationship, not an "I, thou" relationship as there is with your Avatar. The horse armor is not any more meaningful than changing the color settings on your TV. This would be different however if Oblivion had some sort of multiplayer ability in addition to a lot more different types of horse armor.

That's right, I just got all Levinas on you guys with some ontology and how it relates to video games (sort of, there's a ton more to talk about with ontology and how it relates to online video gaming, mostly about ethical responsibilities with others and how avatars are a large part of that).

i guess ill have to agree to disagree. ive been debating to get the vault suit but even still at this cheap price, i cannot. but i had no trouble getting the horse armor. i really dont care to 'show off' to my 'friends' or care what they 'think'. i guess im in the minority. i wish the vault suits were unlockable in the game.

I'm reaching the level cap in FO3, but I'm playing it on the PS3. I could use a discount on the PSN, if the PStore ever reopens.

if you wanna know which FO3 DLC are the best to worst here:

*Point Lookout
*Broken Steel (you should get this for the raised lvl cap and being able to play after the game is done)
*The Pitt
*Mothership Zeta

if you can, get Point Lookout, its a bit tougher but once you reach lvl 20 and above your basically an unstoppable force.

i also forgot Operation Anchorage stupid me, that DLC should be above The Pit imho, but some people prefer The Pit over it. either or is fine.

You should. Broken steel is great on its own merits, aside from raising the cap. PR0F3TA forgot to mention Operation Anchorage which, while not great, grants you the Stealth Suit, which (if kept repaired,) might be the most useful piece of loot in the whole game (outside of the Ghoul Mask, anyway.)

Even with the discount, the two Oblivion mission DLCs cost $20. We're better off waiting for the 5 year anniversary edition. Pay an extra $10 for the game itself plus all the bonus material. Lol.

They should just rename the game "The Elder Scrolls: Armored Steeds" or even just "Horse Armor". I think those shiny, equestrian, protective plates are the real draw of the game.
