I have a feeling there is a "me" in an alternate reality that would be perfect for the job. I hope you find someone who will help make Joystiq better than it already is.

I feel that way too, but I already have a full-time job, don't live in the UK, and my weekends are pretty much already spoken for. Plus, I feel that there's probably enough smartasses already writing for this site, and I wouldn't want to throw off the balance.

Two questions: what if we only own one console (Dreamcast, Saturn count?) and never written for another site?

Just be honest with him. Residents of cities that don't pronounce their own spelling correctly are automatically disqualified.

I would love to apply here, but I still have more questions. Of course, will this be a job? Will we be payed?

And would you prefer someone full time or part time?

With the extensive amount of freelance writers and large pool of talent that already exists in gaming enthusiast press, it's odd that Joystiq would dip their wick in the proverbial cesspool that is the gaming community.

Justin, please delete all emails you receive that have emoticons and/or acronyms such as "LOL."

I love how this individual is busting out the graduate school English on the forum posts, but his/her unverified account prohibits the name from being displayed, making the effort moot.

Definitely going to apply for the weekend position. As a business major, I think it would be a nice change of pace to have my application be rejected for something other than a lack of experience.

@2Slick Graduate school English? I'd like to think anyone, regardless of their education, can be loquacious with their verbiage. Sure you can dumb things down with very simplistic nomenclature, but what's the fun in that?!?

As for applying for the job? No thanks. I like my job too much to leave it just yet... and, the (Unverified) thing is completely out of my hands. It happened when Joystiq switched over to the new blog format and hasn't allowed for me to successfully change my username. (It's Solid_Blake).

@(Unverified) "loquacious with their verbiage". It is perspicuously cognizable that you are endeavoring to have an ostensibly voluminous, almost herculean governance of the English acrolect. Your efforts however, are actually having the unintended effect of constructing a visage of you that is ostensibly a pusillanimous dbag.

If it helps my case, I've already got a GED and I'm not attending college as of right now. No job to speak of either outside of proofing RBN charts for friends, and that doesn't really pay. At all. As in "getting no money from it" kind of not pay.
