I call getting a new Double Fine game every four months an upgrade, thanks. Brutal Legend's biggest problem was that it tried to do so much. These highly concentrated doses of patented Double Fine Awesome™ and Humour™ are among the best games out there. I couldn't ask for more*

*other than Psychonauts 2, naturally.

@Insane Koala
What are you talking about? Brutal Legend didn't fail and Double Fine has been doing a series of Downloadable Games. This is actually the final one of the 4.

@Epoque No the problem was that it was marketed poorly. People expected god of war with guitars. Tim schafer explicitly said in interviews it would be like an rts. Noone listened.

A pretty brilliant trailer, and Double-Fine are so established in great art work that every time I look at one of their games I fall in love with their style all over again.

@MXrider13

1) why did you link to the la noire forum in your post?

2) ww1 is not a particularly good setting for a war game. i realize it was a massive war with millions of casualties, but the majority of fighting took place in the trenches. an entire game that has you wandering around trenches running from deadly gases wouldn't be very fun, in my opinion.

3) instead of waiting for a ww1 game that will never come, maybe you should go read "all quiet on the western front" instead?

@Liquidfingers

You see, that was the REAL WWI. We are talking about Tim Schafer here!

I love Double Fine, but $15 seems too high for any tower defense game. Good luck to them, though.

Thankfully I live in Michigan and will only need to scavenge 150 bottles.

While I eagerly anticipate Double Fine's stab..eerrr.....*attempt* at Sesame Street, I hope the best for Trenched. Maybe if we could finally get some Steam releases...

"If you're curious, that's 300 bottles (at $.05 apiece). Can't redeem bottles in your state? Um, we find putting an extra "tips" jar at the Starbucks counter works too"

Or, do as Kramer did in that one episode of Seinfield, get a delivery truck, load up about 150 bottles, and drive on over to Michigan where its $0.10 a piece instead of $.05!
