Australia getting its own awesome Ocarina of Time 3D bundle

Though not nearly as radical as Greece's Deku Nut-packed bundle, Australia's getting its own special edition of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Shedding the legumes and baseball cap of its Grecian counterpart, the Australian Ocarina Bundle -- available exclusively as a pre-order bonus from EB Games -- includes an Ocarina, some sheet music to help you play some of OoT's transportative jingles and a large box with which to contain said instrument and tabulature.

Just a note, Nintendo of America: We are rapidly approaching the day where you won't be able to announce this kind of Ocarina-filled special edition for US release anymore, because the game will have already come out, and then we won't have an Ocarina, and then we'll be sad all the time. We really need you to come through for future us, Nintendo.

A while back I think I.was reading an old GI magazine from around 2005 and saw an ad for ocarinas for sale. Wanted. Still want. Will always want.

YES! This! I remember reading a gaming magazine one day and seeing an ad for a "Ocarina of Time" Ocarina! I think it was SongBird who made them. Except now-a-days they're extremely high quality and not sold for $20.

Was just playing OoT a few hours ago.

People may be reminded of the sharp similarities it has to Wind Waker, which is fantastic, considering WW is probably in my top 3 all-time favorite games.

New Zealand EB Games, takes note: your pre-order bonus poster is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I totally need to import this from Aussie. This is the most badass thing ever. I hope the ocarina is of good quality, but it's probably a cheaply mass-produced piece of plastic. It's still full of win.

Before everyone gets bent out of shape remember that the average price for a 3DS game there is $60AUS which is around $63USD. That being said I am sure Nintendo will give some cool pre-order bonuses, but nothing will compare to getting the Gamecube OOT/Master Quest for free with a Wind Waker pre-order (kind of ironic thinking about it now)

For one delirious moment, I thought the Ocarina was an Ocarina-shaped 3DS.

In that moment, I calculated travel plans to Japan.

You see NoA, when I pay for sexy time, I would also want some teasing and a bit of role play, then you get to the main event. But when you get to the main event right away without any BONUSES, SPECIALLY WHEN SOMEONE ELSE IS GETTING SAID BONUSES, the main event isn't as satisfying as it should be.

Just went to EBGames and preorder 2 copies of this. Thanks for the tip off joystiq! Now I need to buy myself a 3DS before the game comes out!

Of course this surely leaves the UK with the lamest pre-order still and greece the second best.

I mean a free playable replica of the ocarina of time? or some deku tree seeds which due to the crap soil, weather and lack of attention are sure to just fail immensly if i chose to take them on board instead.

@Red Deer Considering that the Greeks also get a keychain, baseball cap, 3DS cover AND the same ocarina that Aussie is getting, I think it's fair to say that Australia is getting the second-best, and Greece is getting the best by far.

I could go on about international superstar acts like AC/DC, Keith Urban, The Bee Gees, Jimmy Barnes, INXS, Savage Garden, The Wiggles and Kylie Minoque, but that would be gloating. :P

One would think they'd be going overboard with preorder bonuses to really convince people that they should totally buy a 13-year-old game a second or third time.

C'mon! Preorder bonuses that aren't unlocked DLC are win!

Cmon Nintendo, give America something for a change. Charge extra if you need to, we will pay.

I have been dying for news of a US special edition of this game. I've missed out on this game too many times.

I never had an n64 and I never got the special version of Wind Waker that came with it.

The 3ds is my best hope to play what so many call the greatest game of all time and I want to celebrate it in style with a nice limited edition copy.

SO not fair!

I'm so jealous right now. I swear if USA gets a lame bonus I'm gonna snap. If it weren't for that region coding, I'd so import this. Please don't suck US bonus! Please!

I'm a happy person. I just found out that New Zealand is also getting this after all. Now, I just hope the ocarina is of decent quality.... I guess I'll play 20 questions with the dudes at EB.

Ugh, EB Games.... The last thing I bought there was inFamous, and that cost me an arm and a leg just for a pre-owned copy.
