I guess $30 is still a pretty good deal if you wanted one to mod or just paint becauase aren't plain solid colored sticks $60 normally?

Actually, the wrestling arcade sticks are pretty good caus you don't need anything else on the bottom to make it more sturdy. Triple H does a great job of holding it down.

@Ample Salty That joke may be 8 years old but I still laughed.

Is this really that great of a deal? I bought the SF4 Fightstick only a few months ago for $40, new. The Tekken 5 bundle is also often going for around a fifth of this price (although I'm not sure how mod-friendly the stick is).

@RickGhastly This is a great deal for the stick. The parts for the SF4 fightstick are awful and while the Tekken one is not that great plus it's wireless which means lag. This stick is actually one of the best cheap sticks and the art is easily replaceable if you're willing to void your warranty.

I own this stick. It's pretty bad stock, but thankfully it's somewhat easy to mod. I got mine for 20 bucks after I traded in a few games. I just slapped some Sanwa buttons in it works fine. I might need a new joystick soon though. It's a great stick for anyone looking to mod or simply has fun doing so. The art is a bitch to change however.

Oh and bat top > ball top :D

@Mechazawa Prime The parts are the same form the TVC stick which were way better than the SF4 parts. And I don't see how the art is to change. You just take off the old one, clean the plate, and slap on the new one. It's not hard at all...

@GetFree

I'm not saying it was super difficult or anything. It's just harder to change than most other sticks out there. Especially for a perfectionist like me. Stupid air bubbles.

@GetFree

The parts in mine felt cheap and very toy like. Also my comment about the art is not showing up, so I'll just restate that the art was not terribly difficult to change. More of an annoyance just because I'm a perfectionist and it's not a very friendly toward getting the finer details right in that regard. In general it's harder than just "slapping it on", however...

Yeah, I made the mistake of not factoring in the actual part quality (I gutted the SF4 stick immediately after buying it). So you're probably right about that.

If they had put Randy Savage on the controllers, they'd be sold out and listed on ebay with fake signatures. I would have already bought one since he was kind of my childhood hero.

I'd buy one if it also included a Slim Jim dispenser.

FYI, those fight pads are really good for all you guys who are so used to playing fighting games with their D-Pads. These thingies have a nice, large D-Pad on it, as well as six face buttons (think SSF layout). I play all my fighting games with the Chun-Li fight pad and I've actually gotten better, without the need to completely re-learn. At $30, these are great value.

The above post is in no way affiliated with Mad Catz. I just like that fight pad so much :)

Order now, and you get an orange-cyan cliche, at no extra charge!

Seriously, the commercials were so abusive with the colors. Apparently no one at the studio got a link to the NeoGaf thread.

I genuinely dislike the more Japanese-centric fight sticks with the ball top sticks and the convex buttons, give me American-style anytime.

The cartoon wrestlers are pretty studly, though.
