The reason you're hiring people has nothing to do with slow news I'm guessing.

Now I'm gonna have to go with the Far Cry complete, since I can get it for a penny less.

Wow. Insane deal. I'm really hoping for a FC3 announcement after FC2 was a disappointment. I may just buy these in case I get a capable PC soon. I would like to mess with the map editor for PC :D

Really? Far Cry 2 was a disappointment? I thought it was one of the best games of the year when it came out. In fact, it fell short of Fallout 3 as my GOTY. I've always liked the Serengeti setting so maybe that's it.

@Special Agent Steve
I really enjoyed it, until I realized how ridiculous the respawning enemies got. That pretty much killed it for me.

@Special Agent Steve Respawing enemy camps, annoying enemy health, steal was non-existent, malaria added no fun what so ever, guns broke ridiculously fast as well as cars, multiplayer was uninspired and boring, every single NPC outside of camps was hostile (even the faction you were working for).
The best part was the map editor and impressive engine. Being a huge fan of FCIP, I was left disappointed. Being over the top with the predator powers is what made the first so fun. Bring back Jack Carver, and all is well.

Far Cry 2 is the coolest theoretical game I can think of. Too bad it ended up being incredibly boring with omniscient AI and far, far too much driving endlessly.
I beat the first half of the game, and every now and then I go back to it when I think of the cool ideas it had going for it, but then I am reminded why I put it down in the first place when I spend 10 minutes driving somewhere and end up getting shot to death at some infinitely respawning checkpoint.

I'm working out of town and didn't bring my console. As a result, I've recently started using Steam a bit more. I'm not much of a PC (Mac, technically) gamer, so I ordered controller from Amazon. It's not here yet, but this radical deal is, so I guess I'm going to have to learn how to play video games like you computer geeks have been saying is superior for the last decade anyway.

I actually already own this, both FC1 and 2, but still I'm considering it just for the convenience of never having to use a CD again, and getting it on my netbook easier.

Why, so you can whine about PC games "sucking" because you have a shitty rig that you don't know how to work? I guess this is more ok, though, it's more affordable than an MMO so you have nothing to be upset about. ;)
