Hulk Hogan, the wrestling legend, Mr. Nanny star, and guy who nearly showed us his sack in a Def Jam Rapstar trailer, has his very own Kinect game coming this fall, in which he'll teach you how to be a professional wrestler. Hulk Hogan's Main Event, developed by Panic Button LLC and published by Majesco, allows players to "learn the ropes from the man himself," develop a wrestling persona and learn how to put on a show by "emulating famous Hulk poses and performing more than 30 punishing combos."
Players will create their own wrestler, including options for tattoos, clothing, body type, and entrance music, and will get to use that wrestler in both single-player mode and tag-team (in which two players take turns in front of the camera).
In the absence of an actual trailer, find "I Want to Be a Hulkamaniac" by Hulk Hogan and the Wrestling Boot Band after the break. You're welcome!
Finally! Majesco is the first publisher to recognize that the problem with the current Kinect software lineup is that you just look too damn dignified when playing the games.
Old Hulk cant wrestle becuase, well becuase he's old, and beat the hell up. Google The Voice VS Hulk Hogan. Its a great interview that will open your eyes. Dudes had tons of major surgeries on his back. If you look at his younger days he actually had decent technique. But thats what happens to wrestlers when their body has been beat up throughout the years. Their bodies just wont allow them to perform certain moves anymore. Hulk said he hates that his signature move was the big legdrop becuase it messed his back and tailbone up. Dude used to be 6"7 and with all the surgeries and injuries he's now 6"3. Crazy stuff.
@xFenixKnightx He's a pretty nice guy in person -- though I do feel empathy for his latter career due to the surgeries. Anything spinal is downright excruciating.
As for the game, I can't imagine it being any weirder than KUNG FU PANDA2 on Kinect. :\
Word. And to be fair, Vince McMahon is really killing the actual wrestling itself. He doesnt want WWE to be associate the word "wrestling" with his brand. Look at the majority of wrestling matches WWE guys put on now. Lots of fake punches, kicks, crazy finishers and over the top stuff. Theres no more textbook wrestling manuevers guys like Mr Perfect, Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero etc used to do. Theres still some guys but thats going away.
Agreed, personally i still don't have a "reason" to own one but its always nice to see innovative things at work. Now If only they can teach people to disable their Kinect microphones during online match ups. Amazing how it picks up everything in the background, everything.
So I will now have to have an area in front of my television the size of a wrestling ring? Will it come with ropes and turnbuckles as well? I'm also hoping for some Rowdy Roddy Piper DLC.
Does it also teach you how to go through the "washed-up reality show loser" stage of your career and take you through the messy family issues and divorce?
John cena can't work a match to save his life unfortunatly hes good for the business so we have to deal with him for the next10 or so years:( Now the day cena makes his heel turn will be epic
Speaking as someone whose been to wrestling school and worked on various independant shows Professional wrestling is and has always been "worked" form of entertainment Shoot matches aside( which happen often),pro wrestling has been a work since the late 1800s. Having said that its crazy the amount of damage those Guyshave to work through. As far as modern product being a shell if its former self, there is Ring of Honor the NWA and some other promotions out there that put on amazing shows. Thanks for pointing out the hogan interview I havnt heard that one I gotta check it out .google right after wtrestling radio show.
I wonder if the game will show you how to ruin various wrestling companies via his heel persona (unless that's saved for the Eric Bischoff Kinect game.
This guy is 57 years old and is an expert of the thing he's done his entire life, whatever you consider that to be. I wonder what this game will actually teach, though.
