It's funny because if this was Street Fighter IV costumes there would be no way I'd buy this but since its Mortal Kombat they'll get me to shell out the $5. I really want Smoke's classic costume the most.

Couple of kwestions: How much is this DLC going to be? And where's all the blood in this trailer? They force sites to put an age gate in, okay, but don't cut away from all the fatalities, and then even skimp on the blood during regular match kombat!

@The Pork Seems like it'll be $5. Even konsidering that it's all on the disc (sadly), that seems like a reasonable kost for 7 costumes and 3 fatalities, especially kompared to similar packs for other games.

Pro Tip: On these Joystiq embedded videos you just need to refresh the browser as soon as the ad starts playing. Then, when you refresh and get past the age gate the video plays without the advertisement.

Look if the video I'm watching is under 2 minutes there's no real need for an ad, especiall one that matches or beats it in time.
If I'm watching something like the fatality video then sure I don't complain about the ad. 5 minute video and a 1 minute ad? I'm fine.

Didn't expect them to actually include Ermac. Kind of sucks for the people that bought the Kollectors and Tournament editions.
But oh well, can't wait to see what the price is going to be.

@evilkoala The collection consists of seven pre-order klassic character skins for Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Jade and Kitana and klassic fatalities for Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero. The pack will be available starting June 7th on Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on PlayStation Network.

Ermac wasn't a pre-order though, it was included (and therefore extra incentive to purchase) in the Kollector's Edition (and I think the Tournament edition).
I understand allowing people the ability to pay for pre-order bonuses, because some of us didn't even have access to them, but don't give away or even sell content that's special to the Kollector's Edition. Even Treyarch hasn't sold the bonus Zombie levels included in the Prestige edition of Black Ops.
One more point, now if I purchase this DLC, I'm paying $5 for only 6 new costumes, so I'm getting less value out of the DLC even though I spent more on my intial purchase of the Kollector's Edition. Maybe they should have just given these away free to anyone who already has the classic Ermac costume.

Completely agree. These should at least be free if you bought the Kollectors or Tournament pack. I don't know if people bought it strictly for the Ermac costume, but I doubt it would have influenced many people if they knew it would be available later in a pack for $5.

@evilkoala bought the Kollector's edition for the Bookends. "Klassic" Ermac was a nice bonus (Ermac wasn't in the original MK so wouldn't have had the pillow Kostume). Bought through Amazon for release day shipping so got Klassic Reptile too. Would have preferred to have all unlocked with the pre-order or at least with the Kollector's Edition. The bookends are nice but definitely not 30 dollars more nice.

I didn't think their costumes actually looked like that back in the day. At least not MK1. They were really just straight pieces of cloth with no features. In MK2 they had pads, but they were big pads, like armor almost with only about 4 on each side of cloth. Still though, it'll be nice to make people TOASTY again.

These outfits are like a hybrid of MK and MKII. MKII they had the pleated texture, but they wore plastic motorcross helmet facemasks and baseball catcher's shin guards.

@jshannon00 Actually they did have that texture in MK1 it's just the cameras they used to film them where so low res that it got mostly lost after shooting\digitizing.

I made a full on Scorpion outfit with padded looking fabric for the vest. and won 1st place in my middleschool costume contest back in 1997. glad to see it as dlc. this is such a great game i feel like i re-found MK after being disappointed with every game afterUMK3

@beefbearsupreme It was obviously Sub-Zero, and the color just disappeared from his clothing. Probably either a technical glitch that was never caught, or something. idk, I doubt it's Smoke.

Ermac is an error which could happen if you play too long. One of the Ninjas would turn red instead of their normal color. Also I think in UMK3 he was a hidden character, same with Triology.

@kcswanko Ermac was based on an old glitch where if you were playing as Scorpion (?), you would show up with a red palette and have the name "ERMAC," probably because of a macro error. They just ran with it, as they tend to do.
