Good lord.....one would think they got out all the bugs in the 3 weeks it was down.....even if they rebuilt it from the ground up.....

but HOPEFULLY this means the Store will be working when it comes back up...

Is that right? AFIK the PSN Store hasn't gone live yet, meaning no one's been able to get their freebies since you'll be getting from the store. Can someone corroborate?

What? The deal is over?! What kind of 'deal' is that? I've never once been able to even access the store this whole time. Are you sure?

The Welcome Back program will start once the Store goes back online. When the store comes back online you will have 30 days to get your free games. and you can keep them forever.

I think some people missed the sarcasm there...

But on another note. I agree with how bad it is Sony is taking so long to get stuff up again, but then I think about it the way you phrased it ("even if they rebuilt it from the ground up...") and I realize this is probably going pretty damn quickly.

I doubt it took them a month to create the PSN the first time, so I'm not really surprised it's taking them this long to remake it.

Why does it take so long to service the PSN? Everytime I see that it goes down for maintenance it says it will take like 10 hours. That seems like an unusually long time

Yep, You get what you pay for. Next generation the PSN will probably be good to go. Microsoft had the advantage and the foresight to create their online service last generation, which is why it's so awesome compared to PSN.

Can we get back to fading out comments when people get downvoted?

Since yesterday, I am able to see maxxgold's comments everywhere. It's like housekeeping never came through, and left all the garbage lying out.

I would gladly give up a month of online gaming capabilities rather than paying for something that should always be free.

@maxxgold I find it a bit funny that your icon is Luigi, a Nintendo character that wears green, a color usually affiliated with Microsoft, and I constantly see you bash on Sony. Was that intentional, by any chance?

@(Unverified) "Gimme some cheap stuff and I'll forget all!" That is a slippery, slippery slope friends."

That's absolutely true. But let's be real, if you're a 360 gamer, you've been screwed at least as much, if in different ways, by a corporation. If you're a PC gamer, you've been screwed, though perhaps a lot less so, by various corporations, and if you're a Wii gamer, well, I don't really think you've really been screwed, aside from being screwed out of an awesome selection of HD games.

Please elaborate on how we have been "screwed by a corporation". From what I saw, Sony didn't CHOOSE to be hacked (and don't try using that GeoHotz bullshit), so I fail to see how it's really their fault.

Man, it's about time somebody said something about what's going on. I got a new PS3 and was trying to reset my password on Sunday night, but it kept tell me the site was down for maintenance. It has said it's been down every time I've tried to go to log into Playstation.com since then. I was quite confused, because I thought they got the "reseting password from browser" issue fixed, but I guess that's not the issue.
