You and me both. I had been interested in this game from the beginning but never got around to buying it. Looks like the time is now. With all of the seemingly so-so summer games coming out (cough, Alice, Brink, Hunted) at least there is one game that will be worth more than a rental.

I normally don't buy DLC but I am absolutely down with this. I suppose I should pick up Reverie too...

@Electrium Reverie was a bit disappointing to be honest. It is a good lead-up to Resurrection, so story-wise it makes sense to play it first, but I found myself really bored and frustrated with it. Not really much action in it at all, and very light on content...the whole thing is basically just a series of tacked-on and unnecessarily difficult puzzles which are obviously just there to fill time and make it seem longer. Assuming you were somehow able to complete the puzzles quickly, you could potentially zip through Reverie in under an hour.

I'm definitely going to get Resurrection though, I'm excited to see the events that lead up to the final ending in the main game, this is going to be awesome.

Aw, really? Thanks for the tip. I didn't have incredibly high hopes for it (obviously, I would've bought it by now) but I thought they would have learned from the reviews that the puzzles were the worst part of the game. I guess I'll look for a playthrough on YouTube or something.

Puzzles are actually better in Reverie than in main game.

Also, majority of Reverie is insanely hard platforming sections(like the one with chainsaws) at the difficulty that can reach Ninja gaiden levels.

Oh and you also get to play as Laura with vampire powers.

Was "The Forgotten One" also the name of the bonus boss in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence?

This looks great, but I've since traded in my copy. Loved the game, but felt burned by the first DLC. :/ I'll just have to catch the youtube videos of it when it's out.

@Jawmuncher

Both DLC sort of cover the gap between the game's ending and game's post-credits epilogue :)

They sort-of continue the story from the moment Gabriel is left in anguish on that cliff.

Now this is how you do DLC. Very obviously developed long after the initial release, adds to the story, and gives you some closure to the game!

Everyone else in the industry, take note.

I absolutely loved this game, but no way in hell I'm spending another $20 on DLC for a game I already paid $60 for.

Will wait for a sale.

Hope the release date sticks.

The Xbox DLC for Reverie was delayed for too long, I just watched a playthrough on it from someone playing it on their PS3, which makes me glad I didn't buy it considering the lackluster content for the price point.

I'm still only halfway through this game...something about it just hasn't grabbed me. I think I feel like I should be trying to make use of the 800 different combat combinations of magic and melee, but I fail at that, and die too much.

@Lucky48

Were the levels re-used from LoS? I've been considering buying Reverie but only if its got new levels and enemies.

@Pure Black World Tendency

Pretty sure there are no reused areas...it's a huge file for a relatively short duration, so assuming much of that is new art.
