Aww, looks like Oregon Trail drowned while fording the DSi to 3DS river. I'll go plant some roses on its grave.

From what I heard, Flipnote Studios is coming to the eShop, so that might explain why it won't transfer.

Correct, they are actually producing an updated 3DS version, so I guess that pretty much makes the old one obsolete (similar to the browser situation). Makes sense.

@Bighouse Ok...ok. That's not as bad then. When I saw Flipnote I just....don't even know. I need me some Flipnote. Only had the original DS, so never got in on that one.

I'm just glad "Inchworm Animation" isn't on that list.

There's no word yet on whether or not DSiWare points can be transferred over to the 3DS cash-money accounts. If you want a game that's not on the list, and you have points sitting on your DSi, use them ASAP.

It's a shame the Domo games won't make it over, but understandable (rights/licensing issues). Those were cute and decent enough diversions.

I only one that I care about is Earthworm Jim. Guess I'll have to continue playing it on my DSi. Wonder if that means that a possible 3D version might come out...

Ouch. No Earthworm Jim. At least I haven't bought that yet. Now, I never will, because I'm planning on getting a 3DS.

You guys really need to relax though, that kind of pent up frustration will kill you.

Love the assumptions:

Nothing to do better than send tips all day: Only my second time actually, first time being acknowledged. Slow day at work, what can i say.

juelz345 is kind of a douche: seems a bit harsh, but ok. That's what the internets for right?

Yeah, I was a little pleased to see my name there. That might ba a little sad on my part, but i'm ok with that. It's the little things in life :)

Oh no, 3 different versions of sudoku can't be transferred!I guess people will have to wait for the 16 different sudoku games that will appear as 3DSware!

Don't worry, I'm sure "Sudoku 3D" will be available at launch. Now the numbers kind of look like they're in front of the grid...

On a similar note, I really wonder how xbla and Psn games transfer to the next systems.

This is part of the reason why I'm sitting out this gen.

Backwards compatibility is an expectation these days. As well as online asset longevity.

'This is part of the reason why I'm sitting out this gen.'

Yes, because being able to play games now for years is greatly out-trumped by possibly not having access to them on newer future systems. Lord knows I heavily regret purchasing and spending sick amounts of hours on Castle Crashers and Geometry Wars while I could of avoided them all together since I likely can't play them on Xbox720 in the year 2023.

As someone said before. I could swear they're making a new and improved Flipnote Studio.

Now including the colour Green!!!

But in all seriousness there is that Inchworm animation app (think its called Inchworm at least) looks tons better. But it's a paid application afterall.

I don't understand why they don't make it so you have an account with all your purchases tied to it like Sony does....it's going to be no issue foe me to redownload all my digital content Thats on my PSP on my Vita. Same as I have with my numerous PS3's....they still don't get it.

As long as you don't try to play PS2 games on your PS3 you are fine. That was one of the reasons I didn't go for the PS3 (x360 has the same issue). I'm hoping Nintendo doesn't have the same issue going to the next home console.

As much as I enjoy the downloadable games, it's clear from the system stats that I spend WAY more retail titles.

My most-played WiiWare/VC title comes in at just 10 hours, making it not show up in the top 50 Wii titles I've played. I love my 10 DSiWare games in theory, but mostly I play the retail carts.

@Chris DPSN AggieCEO XBLThe Aggi You can be sure this has nothing to do with actual compatibility and everything to do with licensing (or, in the case of Flip Note Studio and the web browser, redundancy). There's no guarantee at all that your PS3 PSN games will work on your PS4, account or not.

I SWEAR you are Sprinkles....what does infrastructure have to do with the way files are connected to a single account that make redownloading files simple and easy? no way in HELL I would buy games I own on my Wii from WiiWare AGAIN to play on 3DS....

@Roto13 that could be true...or it could be they are raping people or dont know how to do licensing contracts....I mean Sony has already said all games that work on PSP that were downloaded will work on NGP...could that change...yes....but as of now it hasn't....which I assume means they got the licensing right...

I'm with you on this. I purchased about $30 in DSi games that are locked to my DSi... Which I traded in to GameStop towards my 3DS since why would I want to hang on to two systems that do the same exact thing? But seeing is how they wipe the memory of all devices, and no longer having my system to transfer over to my 3DS - All those games are lost to the ether and I will have to repurchase them again to play on the new system. I really wish it was built like the Xbox/Sony structure where downloads are tied to accounts, not to hardware.

This is why they should have a Nintendo account that tracks all your purchases like Sony and Microsoft. Cut the friend codes BS. Give us an actual account with an actual name. You're never going to get your online division together without that completely obvious step.

Well you can actually tie your Club Nintendo account to the system so that it registers your purchases. But the system isn't as developed as the 360.

Yeah that's what I'm saying though. It's still kind of a pain in the neck and it doesn't do anything helpful. I haven't used my Club Nintendo account in probably close to 5 years or so just because there's no real purpose to it.
