Oh, how I wish I can just trade that Wii uDraw thing back to Gamestop, but I lost the uDraw Studios disk. There were 3 or 4 games for that and nothing more, so I'm staying away from this console tablet.

@ColorblindMonk I just hope they actually got real artists to make the software this time. The Wii version was worse than MSPaint/Mario Paint. And that's just sad.

FFS, custom soundtracks please. 1 looping track drives me insane

The Ps3 version will be Bluetooth right? Could be an inexpensive way to get a multitouch trackpad on my mac pro.

@Optimus Rhyme it'll probably use a USB dongle, sine 3rd party devs never splurge on the bluetooth ;_; The jerks

I kinda liked it on the Wii. The controls were a pain and it was a tad limited but I'd still give it a 7/10. I bought it for my niece. She loves it.

I can't promise that I won't buy this for the Xbox 360.

Ah. Now this is some pretty cool news. I was a bit jealous of the Wii owners when this came out.

No joke. I started my drawing days with lined notebook paper and a #2 pencil, drawing Ninja Turtles like crazy. Thinking technology will help you do something you either have no talent in and are not willing to put effort towards is incredibly insulting to those of us that work hard.

@Nobledevil Gaming Optimist Yeah, i echo what u said. I'm 26 now, been drawing my whole life. Before wacom tablets, cintiqs and photoshop it was pencil created demons on the back of my assignment handouts, and designs adorning the borders of reports.

As it turns out, that pencil work translates directly over to digital stuff, but for anyone interested in digital art, it's very good to know a traditional skill like pencils.

There's really no excuse to not draw just because one can't get a tablet. Pencil + paper is as cheap as it gets and is pretty limitless. As most artist will tell you the most important thing is to get your values right: something pencils are good at.

@Epoque More like, I'm buying this because it would give me another tablet that could then be used with a vidya. Naturally I'd need to see if it was up to par for playing PC games on first.

Depending on the price (which can't be *that* high), we could see some awesome stuff with this and Kinect.

@YimYimYimi

uDraw for the Wii launched at $69.99, and it didn't even have to include the wireless components or gyros, since they're part of the Wii remote. I could see this launching at $99.99.

So unlike the Wii counterpart, the ps3 and 360 version of the uDraw will be multitouch? Is this a Nintendo joke or something?

@mguniverse What? No. It means that the PS3 and XBox versions of the uDraw tablet with have multitouch functionality, unlike the Wii version. How could that be misunderstood?

There are some really stupid people on the boards here. *THIS PRODUCT IS NOT MADE FOR YOU.* It is made for kids, and it is made for the videogame consoles. It is not a Wacom, which connects to your computer. It has a cord on the pen so the pen won't get lost. It is another artistic medium; sure, you can draw on pen and paper. Just like you can draw and paint with charcoals and pastels and watercolors and oil. You jokers remind me of the people who used to hate CGI animated movies because they weren't "drawn," or who thought the computer "drew everything." If you don't like videogames for kids and people who aren't hardcore gamers, why do you have to b**ch here? Go back to playing with your virtual guns. Oh, and by the way, when I was a kid we used to have toy guns or even just sticks and we'd just use your imagination...and it was good enough for us. So, what's the point of videogames anyway? Except to be another form of entertainment, obviously.

AAAAAUGH uDRAW TABLET.
Last Christmas my mother got the idea to gift me with this (I don't get it... I don't have a Wii... but they do...) I was immediately disappointed in her decision. As a digital artist myself always using my Wacom, she probably thought it was a cute idea to get this so I could show the family how to draw or something. After 10 minutes of fiddling with it, I wanted to throw it out the window.

Don't ever buy these scams... buy a freakin' real tablet with that money. It's a way better investment. The only way I'd recommend it is to a 5 year old, it was built like a preschooler toy.

Meh more touch screen controls. There is no practical application for this thing at all compared to others either. The whole idea behind Nintendo releasing kung fu panda 2 with horrible controls for this exclusively was mind blowing to me. So if you want to play the game buy a 69 dollar device and the 50 dollar game and the game is horrible because of the controls it was designed around. Controllers are for action and rpg games motion/tablet/gimmick controls have very limited use in core gaming imo.
