The book cover is also Apple Red. That kid being shown is most likely eating an apple...

And my god I think those pens use red ink...!

I see at least two 3DSes and JC seems to have brought his trusty Slime Speaker Stand with him.

Go! Ye fearless warriors of journalism.
Fetch ye the tidings of coming games, consoles and accessories.
Like Mercury, return to thee, thou's findings at haste.
Your countrymen will sleep not until word cometh.

Do not be distracted by booth babes.
Do not tary at unworthy demos.

I wish thee well and thy adventure.

Now, away!

Thank god for the gallery.

Because of the cover image i was worried by the lack of Handheld consoles to keep you entertained during the waiting you'll have whilst that conference (that was meant to start at 11:30) still hasn't started. leaving you to simply update the live blog with those oh-so-sorry "11:52AM The conference still hasn't started yet, ambitent music playing lights starting to dim" messages.

Oh how i love E3!! :D

Does Joystiq get a kickback for use of Apple products?

Reminds me of Moss from the IT Crowd: "But it's an iPhone, Jen. I might be able to get an iPhone without giving any money to Apple. I'll be living the dream."

Have fun out there! Looking forward to the reporting.

@F1shBone That makes no sense but considering so many professional writers use Macs I think they might be good computers to get some work (not gaming) done. Continue with your hatred of a company's products though if that makes you happy. You know they're just computers, right?

Thanks, I will.

They are just computers, but we really don't need Apples attitude to software and distribution infecting the rest of the market.

That's what people are anti-apple. Oh, and because their products are overrated, overpriced pieces of crap.

Windows isn't "NEEDED" for PC game playing... but it is preferred. Certainly, there are a few developers/publishers that make OS X versions of games (Valve being a recent case, after only starting to support OS X after many years of being Windows-only), but still over 90% of PC games are made only for Windows (statistic not verified, many not be 100% accurate).

@Collymilad85 This is explosively ironic given the console gaming model — which is considerably more restrictive than iOS at its worst — that draws most people to this site.

I love the irony of the anti-Apple drones who call Apple's consumers mindless. Better to be a mindless, happy consumer than to spend all your time creepily and angrily obsessing about products you don't own.

There should be a rule that you can't talk shit about something until you use it.

But since Apple implemented that for App Store app reviews, I guess we can't do that. Bad Apple, bad!

What about being a mindless "anti-consumer"?

Apple products have their applications and validity. They're not worth worship but they do have a place.

It's just funny how the internet works. When Microsoft was top dog people would comment, "It's nice to see a few Apple products instead of all that mindless microsoft crap!" or, "NICE! LINUX! YOU'RE NEATO!!!!"

Now, everyone is down on everything and if you like anything, ANYTHING you're a mindless consumer.

Yeah. Says the person that is on a gaming blog drooling for their favorite gaming news. A product meant to be SOLD to you.

Hmm...

*note, I don't like Apple products for the most part but I don't mindless bash everything to act cool and then act like I'm superior because I am above the most popular products for the decade.

There is a difference between owning an iPhone, and owning ALL THINGS APPLE.

When it gets to where someone buys everything just for that matching logo, it become mindless.

Or you're a content developer...

Or consider that Mac came first, iPhone is a phone and iPad is a tablet which can play Netflix and its ilk (are there any android tablets that managed this yet? I know it's a "security" issue but I also know some phones got around it with a more locked down android. If there's an android tablet that plays Netflix, I may very well get it.)

I mean there is almost always a reason for it besides being mindless. It's usually the rich or well off that mindlessly spend. (No, I'm not saying all do, it's just where those "mindless drones" generally are because duh, they don't need a reason to spend as long as it's fashionable)

Mac came first as in today's Apple line. As in that before Apple got better at consumer products (MP3, Iphone/Tablet) many people preferred Macs and that was ok.
