Use your brain kiddo. I doubt Joystiq has permission to upload the media they're provided anywhere but their own website. This stuff is very protected.
Also: cry more, all of you. Joystiq isn't run on your love and adoration. They need to make money somehow. Get over it.

Yeah, they need advertisements to make money off showing advertisements. Makes sense.

Wow, way to go Nintendo, going the extra mile when they could have just done simple emulation and been done with it. Instead you get a nostalgic GameBoy player on your 3DS with true screen resolution size. Bravo.
Not only that, but the games each save whenever you quit out, so whenever you come back to your GameBoy games, they're right where you left off. That is awesome.

Yeah, no. It's not quite like that... it's BETTER.
I threw down for Super Mario Land (it was *my* launch title for the ol' DMG GB back in the day) and found that, on the Virtual Console menu (the touchscreen controls) there was an option to save a "Restore Point" and load from one. Nintendo has done the unthinkable: they added *save states*.
Well, one save state, at any rate. Plus the restore point isn't destroyed when you use it or restart the game (I think). Not bad. Not bad at all.

Couldn't they have it so you play on the touchscreen instead of 3D screen? I liked that about the DSLite.

Personally, I'm hoping Joystiq missed some stuff, because I yearn for the faked colors the Game Boy Color gave me on my original Game Boy games.

That green is known as the Creamed Spinach Color, I'll have you know.

I don't see why it keeps both screens on/in use, that's just wasting power.

Any reason in particular I've been completely unable to watch any of the videos posted to Joystiq in a while? I do have an adblocker, but I've tried watching them with it off and I still get nothing...Any help here?

Play it in green or don't play it at all.

Surprised they didn't have the option of using the pseudo colour of original Gameboy games when you played on the GB Colour. It would have been a nice option.
Why we can't have a choice of which screen to use as well. In DS we could choose which screen ran the GBA games, so unless it is more awkward to program it when the 2 screens are different resolutions.

I don't get why Nintendo has to have it as "Press Start or Select as you start it", this is the second feature I have seen like this, almost like a hidden feature. Have to hold down a button and start something. Why not just an option right there as you are playing it?

They release Shante for it, I'm buying a 3DS instantly.

@John Z Not what I meant. This article is in relation to the Gameboy games, not DSi shop games.
Shantae is going on amazon for $90 and there's no way I'm paying that much. Sure I would be paying $250 for a 3DS which is obviously more but at least I'll have something that'll do more than just play Shantae.

i think the gameboy emulaton is a bad idea, they arent even using anything from the super gameboy colours, at least give me some room to see the actual gameboy screen, its tiny! the gba sp has a option to make the image bigger.
i am so glad that i still have my old gameboy cartridges and my old gameboys, i don't have to put up with this horrible emulation, and people are going to be paying money for this too!

Whoever was speaking during this segment (not the guy holding the 3DS, the other guy) sounds like he has a serious hate on for Nintendo products. Maybe he shouldn't waste our time with Nintendo related posts if he's going to be a douche.
And isn't the other guy the one who can't see 3D?

I wish I could prove to Nintendo that I already own SML (and like 4 different versions of SMB).
Does it come with simulated screen blur that causes you to die from enemies you thought were blocks?
If they release VB games for this that would be awesome.
