Why would the make a spin off of a mingame collection??? I can see a sequel, but if you go to the store, you're not going to think sports champion when you see this game.

@ShokLoc It's not really a Sports Champions spin-off. It's just inspired by the same mechanics.

My question is, is it really the on-rails experience it appeared to be? I see no reason why it should be.

I know, I mean, is this going to be our "Star War Kinect" experience? There is no reason to have on-rails FPS like that in this day and age. I will buy it if you can walk around with the nav controller but not if it's on rails. If I wanted that I would buy a Kinect.

@ToTheMoon Yeah, unlike Kinect, Move actually supports standard movement. Making the game on rails is just lazy.

I'm hoping that they have just been focusing on the motion control elements and will get character movement in before it's done. This looks like it would have a lot of potential to be excellent with full exploration, but DOA if on rails. It's still early, so hopefully.

I wonder if the reason is that they are thinking of doing two Move control like in SC...

I was looking at his other hand with hope, no Navi unfortunately. It wasn't 100% on rails, because he could control when to move by pressing circle, but pretty close.

I imagine it to be more like a gun game, similar to time crisis with multiple routes and less ducking behind stuff... and no guns. I figure when tasked with coming up with a game that used the mechanics displayed in the tech demos they figured we can make this a mini game collection and then realized how boring that sounds to play and eventually came up with a narrative afterwards.
