Despite being omitted from the grand list of PlayStation Vita developers, Just Add Water hit the Twitters to confirm Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee will both be on the Vita. Additionally, each game will support cross-platform cloud save functionality.

Does this mean a delay on the PS3 and possible update for PC?

Yes I read the headline. However usually companies want them all the release at once.

So what are the chances of a buy one get one ps3-psvita deal? While I'm very excited for the Vita, especially at its price point, I doubt I'll pay twice for the same content. I think a deal where you pay an extra 5-10 dollars for both versions might convince me though.

that's still the biggest question mark for me. they talk about taking games with you from PS3 to PSV but to me they need a bundle pack type deal for that. maybe the PS3 and PSV versions of the same game in the same box for like $75-80, but i doubt i'll be able to justify $60 and $40 (assuming PSV game price) for the same game. and since PSN games are playable on PSV, will they try to make me buy them again? either way, i don't think it's a killer cause PSV seems pretty awesome on it's own, but it could determine what i play.

Have an Oddworld game downloaded to my PS3. Have yet to play any of them though, but they seem so unique, I should see to it that I play through the series.

You've either got Abe's Oddysee or Abe's Exodus, the two original games in the series. Both really are fantastic--give them a try!

And yes, that's all it took. I am adequately ashamed.

I love the concept of cross platform cloud saves, however, its implementation is flawed unless they pack both games together perhaps for a slight premium. I would gladly pay a little more. Buying the same game twice is impractical and pricey. I hope publishers follow Valves example with Portal 2. Packaging the PS3 game with a copy of the Steam game at no additional cost was pure genius (and how it should be done). They could easily do the same with PS3/Vita; package the PS3 version with a digital copy for Vita. Unless your an enthusiast of a particular game and plan on packing a lot of time between both versions, the feature seems geared towards people with more disposable income than sense. I plan on purchasing the PS Vita, however if I take advantage of cross platform cloud saves, I will not pay full price for two games.

i didn't even think about them just including a digital PSV version on the PS3 game disc or give a voucher since they already said all PSV games will be downloadable as well. that would be the ideal way to handle it. i would probably pay between $10 and $20 on top of a regular PS3 game if it meant i could literally take the same game with me on PSV. and then it doesn't cost developers as much since they only have to ship one game, get paid for 2, and save on an entire games worth of packaging and shipping. plus with the minimal effort needed to port from PS3 to PSV, that sounds like a win-win for everyone involve. how they handle this is going to be key because i wouldn't full price twice for the game and a portable version, there has to be incentive.

I'll be curious to see how this turns out. Is this a retail collection of both games? Downloadable versions of each? Strangers is coming to PS3 this Summer, likely for $15. I don't think they can justify releasing Strangers on Vita standalone for more than that. I think I'd rather play this on Vita, so I'll wait and see for a little while.

Right now, we're downloading PSP games using our PS3's.
The file can't be installed on the PS3, but the PSP only. It seems like it would be fairly easy to flip a switch and allow the same download to be installed on both the PS3 and the PSVita.
I don't think Sony even deserves to charge a premium for this functionality, as it will no doubt sell millions of PSV's, thereby generating all sorts of other revenue.
