It will eventually die. It is getting harder and harder to shock people and groups that like to be outraged are going away. The only thing Postal does different is try to be controversial.

Red Dead Redemption had a bit of that in it. Heck, I didn't even know there was a trophy for hogtying a girl, laying her on the tracks and letting the train hit her. I did it all on my own because I was itching to do it all game (but played the good guy). I told my buddy, why does the damsel always get saved in the end? How unrealistic. Well my damsel didn't end up so well, there were quite a few chunks that went flying when she met up with the train.

Postal is tasteless, gory, cheap franchise with mediocre graphics and bad voice acting and cheap humor puns.....
And its fracking awesome thing for what it tries to do.

I just wish this series would go away. When ever anyone wants to paint gamers in a bad light all they have to do is look here. *sigh* I'm tempted to start a boycot not based on content but based on the fact if you love games you should not buy this game. Freedom of expression and all that but god, this game is the video game equivilant of that creepy uncle who puts porn on his fridge right before family come and visit to watch the reaction.

Judging by the responses in this thread, it sounds like a lot of users on this site approve of morally depraved games that let you engage in disgusting, asinine behavior.
I don't give a shit if the developers say, "Oh, but it's your CHOICE if you act all violent in the game", the game itself is clearly designed to push you in the direction of a wanton violence rampage. Even a series like GTA has a better moral compass than this turd.

Some people would rather do this kind of stuff in game instead of doing it in real life and if it stops one twisted sicko from doing any of that stuff do real people (because they have a virtual outlet) then I'm ok with it.
Yeah it's in poor taste, outdated graphics and bad voice acting but that is the way it's supposed to be. Just think about how many people want to pee all over Sarah Palin and now they have a game where they can do just. As she would say, "God Bless America and our founding teabagging traditions"

@Red Runner Judging a video game on it's morality is baseless. Only children take to heart what happens in video games. And certainly a reasonable parent or store won't allow it to get into a child's hands, making it useless to argue about. What people want to do in their videogames is purely their taste. If you don't like it certainly is nobody forcing you to buy it, which is why you shouldn't try to force your own opinion of the game on others as it makes you look quite foolish, which I believe is why you have so many downvotes.

As someone said this type of game fills the need for the part of the brain that laughs when someone farts or falls over. Expect to see it on Fox News or similar shortly after release though along with lots of outraged parents and politicians with no clue.
