Just watched this trailer on my 3DS (there are like 10 new game trailers avail on there in the eShop). Gotta say that I think I will really enjoy setting up shop in my town once again. Looks great, new little features are fun and really chill I think. The music helped. too. I'm really curious how well they integrate the visiting of other towns as that could really make this one stand out.

@AngelWingedBrawler Why would you want that if there are sharks in the water?

Looks fun, but at the same time, it looks just like what I've played before with Wild World and seen in City Folk. What I will really like to see in this edition is some sort of way to play board games or some unique activities with other players if you play online (assuming this will, but I imagine it'll be a given).

I'll more likely pick this up since portable Animal Crossing is by far the best way to go, but I'm crossing my fingers for some more stuff to do with friends while in a world together.

On a basic level, it finally looks like a jump in graphics. Even the Wii version didn't look quite this good.

This reminds me of those slow slice of life anime series.

Absolutely nothing happened in that, yet... for some reason I want to watch/play more...................
Time to google what it is exactly about xD....

I love Animal Crossing, but this seems like more of the same. I'm not fond of the taller character look.

Make sure for everyone who owns a 3DS to update and check out the eShop. Free games and tons of 3D trailers of content they didn't show at the conference. Probably the most exciting thing for me to come out of E3 besides Farcry 3 and the Kinect having useful support are all the trailers on the 3DS now.

@Anticrawl
Unless you live in Europe or Australia where none of this content is available.

@Snowblind

Atleast the update should be available I'd assume? I bet there is a way to download the video and play it back on your 3DS as well.

Either way I was really referring to my American gaming community since we are on a US hosted/owned/made website. No offense, cause it does suck you can't access all the new gaming media goodness.

Well at least the music is better than Wild World...

So you can swim now? I wonder how they'll keep you contained? Sharks. Must be something sharks.

I'm a sucker for anything Animal Crossing, although everything has felt inferior to the original. If this can match or surpass it, then I'll be more than pleased with this.

Can't wait until the weekend to get home (on placement atm, so didn't bring 3DS as exam on Friday and it'd have been a distraction this week - E3 is bad enough at distracting me) so can view all these trailers on the 3DS. On PC just doesn't do them justice.

I want to buy this game, but I can't, because if I do I'll end up spending every waking hour playing it.

I GOTTA FILL UP THAT MUSEUM, MAN!

They're really improving Animal Crossing now. You can swim, you can hang furniture items on walls (clocks, etc.), characters can now wear pants and long sleeved shirts (t-shirts and shorts in the winter in the previous games was stupid), and tents are back after having been absent since the first game are back.

And hopefully the stupid "animal tracks" function from the Wii version (where walking on grass will kill it, allowing you to make your own trails) are GONE. No one likes the Wii version because after a short while they notice there's no more grass in their town.

The characters look strangely proportioned. The head is all small, wide, and childish but the bodies are long. I can understand if they want to make characters with Mii masks look right, but now normal characters look weird.

I've never played the DS animal crossing but, can anyone tell me if that one had the option to turn off that world curving effect? It's making me feel like I'm gonna fall off into the void constantly. Definitely not relaxing.
