As much as I want Ancel to go make Beyond Good and Evil 2 already...this game looks friggin incredible. Definitely a day 1 purchase for me.

Saw this on the live feed of Ubisoft's conference. Seriously beautiful game. I know people will hate me for this, but I liked the first Rayman more than the 3D Rayman 2, so this really has my attention.

Both games are awesome in there own way. I loved the original game because it was cartoony, while I loved the 2nd one because it was a lot darker. I'm glad that with origins they are going back to their hand drawn cartoony visuals and bringing back several elements that made the first shine as a classic. This holiday season shall be fantastic!

What I meant is, I thought the version for Nintendo systems was only going to be for 3DS. I didn't know there was a Wii version too.

I think this game looks great. I just wish the animation was more hand animated rather than the flash animation look. I know it's faster, but it looks cheaper too.

This is exactly what I was going to say. The collision detection also seems wonky, like when Rayman is holding on to the ledges of those tilting mushrooms.
Dilemma: should I give Ubisoft money they don't deserve in any way, or should I avoid buying the game which also means that the Rayman gang won't get any money?

I've always known him, but I've never played a Rayman game in my life. I only clicked this trailer to prove Joystiq wrong, and watch it without smiling. I failed.

I absolutely love the 2D art style and I'm hoping it becomes more of a trend. I know it's kind of his whole "thing" but I kind of wish Rayman had arms. I don't know why, but I think he loses some personality for some reason. Stupid comment, I know, but I guess it's because I'm not a longtime follower of the series.

Good old fashion 2D gaming at it's finest! I love it. I would love to see another 2D Castlevania using a 2D engine like this, but with the traditional Castlevania art.

Finaly a true 2D platformer, I almost gave up on anyone ever producing one again. And next to that the graphical style, albeit shitloads better, reminded me a lot of Earthworm Jim... Shiny doing anything these days?
